sorry to be anal but that porsche 917 crash was from the film, le mans, and because porsche 917s were so expensive, they actually used a lola t70, (much cheaper ), with 917 body work. but still a very good post.
@niceice96 is mostly right. The firey crash was the privateer, John Wolf at Maison Blanc in the 1969 24 heurs du Mans. There was also at least one 908/3 being re-kitted in this one, but well done, all-in-all.

I thought the first 917 to do a backflip was a 917/10 Turbo at Road Atlanta. Mark Donohue broke his back in that wreck.
