I just found you in here and I am enjoying the way you talk , you explain very clear and I am willing to try your recipes. And the part I enjoy most is when you try your food hahaah I like the way you taste them. You are good keep on, and thanks for sharing your recipes.
You are an awesome chef, I tried your tandoori chicken recipe and it turned out very good.
It's really fun to watch your show, I find some of your comments and your facial expression really funny... I really enjoy it ... keep up the good work and teach your viewers more cooking. Could you please show us how to make rasmalai bengoli style pls.
Now put the roti on the tava, it should be VERY HOT/HIGH FLAME. When a bubble comes up, flip it to the other side. when it poofs up like a balloon, it will be close to ready.
When ready, rip it into half. You will have 2 rotis.
*the most important thing is that dough should be very soft and tava (pan) should be very hot.
Add WATER to make it into a SOFT dough. Let rest for 15 mins.
Take out two lemon sized bits of dough, flatten them on a floured surface. Grease one side of each roti. Put a handful of RICE FLOUR on a plate and drag the greased side of each roti over the rice flour.
Use rolling pin to merge the two rotis into one (greased sides touching).
hi i tired your recipe but my rumli roti was made very crnchy and hard dnt knw i tires twice tym dnt knw wat i did wrng can u plzzzzz tell mey this happen?????????????????/
hi one question i tried your recipe but my roomali roti was made very crunchy like papad i dont know what i did wrong.can you tell me why this happen????????/
so is softer dough the key to making them more floppy and limp like tissue paper. by softer does he mean dough that is more sticky to start with. I have found water tempreture has and effect on dough softness.
thanxxxxxxxxxxxx very............. much! i am not a good cook but hope i will be one by watching your videos and trying these recipes. thanx very much.
I tried it but made them to thick, but they did taste nice lol. Ah well thats the beauty of cooking, if it dosent work quite right have another go !!!!

Dear VahChef, thanks for your sharing and your show is very professional especailly I see your another video'Roomali Roti" is very funny too!
One question please you help me to success.Because I am a Chinese but some I don't understand. What kind of flours you use to mix to Roti dough? Can you show the recipe in words and it will more useful to me.Lots of thanks.
I found him while searching for a recipe and was sooo impressed I told all my friends here in the US. Now whenever we meet or on phone...we all go.....mmmmmmmmm vah while eating.
I have tried this method to prepare rumali roti... they came out very well... im new to cooking... didnt expect them to come so good... thank you chef.....u have really inspired me in cooking
i made his dosa yesterday and wow it came so good for the first time...i am not a cook at all...i want to learn though...so thanks to this great chef he is actually making it so much fun to try everything...thanks chef.
Thank you Thank you, for this great recipe. I made this for my husband and he loved it. This is a great bread, will be a main staple in my house from now on. Thank you.
Actually, he said in one of his other videos that a college roommate of his has a mother who makes her incredibly thin chapati roti this way. It's awesome of him to demonstrate this for us as an alternative to the other roomali roti method.
u r soo gud, innovative! i clapped when u removed the 2 rumali rotis that were stuck together. sooo simple n easy! no need to have gas stove to make the traditional rumali rotis. i will surely surprise my hubby today with ur rumali rotis! u r awesome!!
Your preparation is simple and good and I made lot of them and they turned out to be good. I use very less oil and dont use non stick to make it health.
Avoid nonstick - PTFE (Teflon is DuPont trade name). PFOA a chemical used in making PTFE releases fumes above 260C likely causes cancer and DuPont is moving away from it by 2015. Fry in oil cooking reaches 230C. Frying chapati on non stick is not good
I want to mention that eating hot food is injurious to your teeth and gums.
Hahahaha! I loved the Dollar signs! I think everyone in my household is getting sick of me mentioning your name and videos every 5 seconds but they sure don't complain when I cook up your recipes. This looks like your simplest bread yet. Cheers!
looks so good! but when i was in jacksonville, florida at an indian restaurant, they served coconut roti (the coconut was in the middle of the bread). it was sooo good and i have been trying to find someone else who made it. can we see a vid of that if you know how?
