I went on that highway to and from Alaska June of '92. That year was it's 50th anniversary, brought back many sovuneirs to remember, including a 1 oz silver commemorative coin of the Alaska Highway 50th Year, now worth at least $37.00 because of soaring silver prices.
@vampov Honestly...its a beautiful drive... but the construction can make it an awful drive for a motorcyclist. We have chip sealed roads, so they lay oil, then cover in gravel. It can be solid dust for miles. Sometimes you get lucky and the flaggers will send the motorcycles first, but not always! Other than that it would be awesome!
Great scenes of the north country, this where i started driving truck as an 18yr old i would run double with my dad to Fort Nelson on the old Alcan hauling groceries for Overwaitea. Lots of great drivers on the road at that time in 1980 to 85 .Was there in the 90s and the road had changed so much that it just did'nt seem the same. The north country is a great place to truck , you've got a geat job!
music doesnt go with the vid at all. i could think of about 10,000 songs that would be better. ruins it for me. rather here no tunes and hear the truck.
Go girl!! This looks like alot of fun! Maybe something for me. I'm a female teacher (sucks!!) who has changed field into CNC operating, which is cool, but this looks freer. Freedom rules and rocks!

Don't be too sure about the troopers. I was pulled just outside Fort Nelson by the RCMP. They even popped the seal on a reefer to check the load security etc. Thorough, I would say. No ticket, though.
yup campers can be reeeeeeeeeeeeally trying at times. I love it when they are in a convoy, good workout for me. Heart rate goes up, veins pop out of head, blood pressure goes waaaaay up! Work up a sweat, oh its just grrrrrrrrrrrr8!
Awesome vid, came over after I saw the feature on Texolots'. I was born and raised on that highway (NE BC). Wonder how many Americans will realize that this highway was one of their greatest WWII projects (With a little help of course). Subbed and 5*****!

My Dad worked on the Highway after the war.
He wanted him and I to go up there so he could show me some of the sights.
We never did it and I sure regret not making the time to go.
Thanks for taking us along with you
