  • its wonderful music.

  • 2 mins in and im all relaxed

  • It's beautiful... and I'm surprised by that. I never thought I'd be able to like this.

  • what is the name of her perform instrument?

  • This is so beautiful

  • You know, I find it funny how many of you failed to make a single comment about the music, just about where it comes from.

    It's beautiful music, end of.

  • The most important thing is that the sound and how to- play of Gayageum and Guzheng are totally different from each other.

That’s because culture is the fruit of every ethnic's DNA( personality, spirit ).

So adapting to themselves for long time, any cultures reflect

    one's own personality, spirit..

So arguing about cultures' origin is useless and meaningless.

And that's Gayageum, not Guzheng, considering its sound and the appearance of her fingers to play.

  • I don't think it is Korean. It belongs to Chinese and it is called Guzheng.

  • The Korean version of the Zither is adapted from the Chinese Zither. However it has more strings with a movable bridge. This instrument has 12 strings the Chinese version this was derived from only has 7.

  • @q1w2e381048104

You don't know Gayguem and even Guzheng.

Their sound and how to play them are totally different from each other.

You're from Hong kong?, I think you never listened to Guzheng.

  • It takes skill to make wood and string turn into magic

  • Someone sneezed at 5:29.

  • lovely

  • @123zhonghua

    That's Gayageum, not guzheng.

The guzheng is a similar instrument to many Asian instruments

such as the Korean gayageum, the Japanese koto, ... etc. Gayageum, guzheng and goto might be the same in the origin,

but their sound and how to play are totally different from each other.

That’s because culture is the fruit of every ethnic's DNA( personality, spirit, innate talents ).

So through long time adapting to themselves any cultures reflect one's own personality, spirit..

  • Very beatiful. Seems to share the culture of Korea. :)

  • I originally began to type North Korea in my Youtube search, as I wanted to get the latest information on a potentially "ballistic" situation, when I realized I didn't want to hear anything NEGATIVE about Korea anymore. I wanted to hear music, one of mankinds greatest aesthetic accomplishments, from Korea and this video does not fail. It's very positive, peaceful and pleasing to my heart.

  • She moves her arms with such grace, she is as beautiful as the music!

  • @DualAxer i agree, so much beauty!

  • 日本の琴よりも

    重厚で美しい音色です

  • her smile from 3.30......wonderful ;-)

  • It's a enormous pity that there's such turmoil in Korea and even with such a beautiful and elegant cultural background. Beautiful music.

  • Only amidst suffering can there be great happiness.

  • @healingtouch22

“Wisdom comes alone through suffering.” Aeschylus quotes (Ancient Greek Dramatist and Playwright known as the founder of Greek tragedy, 525 BC-456 BC)

  • the love of this instrument and its traditional korean music seems to be something shared between north and south...

  • gorgeous!

  • I've listened to a great deal of traditional Chinese and Japanese music. My first time hearing Korean, definite difference can be heard. Quite nice, thank you for sharing.

  • This is beautiful music. I love it.

  • is this a 12 or 25 string? i can't tell from the video

looks like it's more than 12

  • What is the instrument called?

  • @onmyknees18 It's called a kayagum, pronounced kah-yah-keum. or 가야금 :)

  • such a pretty sound! i love Zither's !!!! great vid.

  • the way she moves her arms and neck... it's interesting to watch how the attention to the moves is so gracefully considered, following the eastern patterns of beauty in the way a woman moves... it's all carefully performed to look like a mythic traditional presentation...

  • One great example why God created woman. Thank you Father.

  • me encata mucho...muy sutil...me yega al alma...a mi espiritu...mucha paz y mucho amor..

  • Beautiful!

  • this is what music should always feel like

  • Charming...and snow begins softly to fall..But it is spring! Amazing, mysterious playing! Thank you!

  • what named of the instrument??

  • @fierah93 i think its a guzheng.

  • @fierah93

  • @trogdorisdabest

the same question. Has anyone MP3 version??

  • Thank you! Amazing Music! I love it.Magical and mysterious. She is wonderful! and her playing also!

  • 감사합니다). Thank you, this is beautiful, If I recall correctly this instrument is plucked and the bridges are movable. I almost bought a the first time I was in Korea. The second time I bought a Hanbok. Next time I go again I may have to rethink the Kayaguem.

  • wow

  • Lovely and serene -thanks for sharing

  • This is very beautiful and relaxing. And I agree, the hanbok is lovely!

  • Such amazing talent! I especially love that part that starts at 4:02

  • Beautiful ! No words to describe how wonderful corean music is

  • i like cangaroos

  • How about the word "Korean?"

  • 첫눈 = Spring Snow

  • @antiaverage1 한국

  • Very beautiful--both the girl and the music..and her playing.

  • 日本の「琴」とは違った趣きがあり・風情もありますね。なかなか良いですよ

    「琴」もやはり大陸から伝承されたのか~なんて想像しちゃいました。

  • Is zither only a Korean instrument? =..= yet she played will~

  • @MsDaisy36 If I say 'American flag', would you ask 'are flags only American?'? The person who uploaded this either didn't know the proper name, or wanted the title to be more easily understood. The reason it's a 'Korean zither' is because it isn't just any zither. It's a specific instrument from a family of instruments that may be referred to as 'zithers'.

  • Is Zither only a Korean instrument? = ..=

  • It is called a gayageum.

  • This girl name is Eun Se-Na, she's already famous in Korea.

  • omg, she's so focused and her movements are so fluid!!!! ㅠㅂㅠ <3

  • I don't think words do justice to describe just how beautiful this music is.

Say, I wonder if this plays in Paradise?

  • Comment removed

  • wow

    the music is so soft

  • the zither emits pure serenity

  • She plays fantastically. :) Surely she could be famous with talent like that. Perhaps a movie director or a TV show should contract her to play the music.

I also agree that her Hanbok is beautiful!

  • oh man.... makes my blood rush, and calm my spirits...

  • That is simply just beautiful.

  • Very pretty. I can even envision snow falling. ^_^

  • Sounds so nice, peaceful. I want 1,000 hours of this and similar music.

  • im in love with Gayageum.

  • i love her hanbok

  • Beautiful woman + Beautiful music = Bliss

  • Lovely

  • ahh, so beautiful....I'm sitting outside in wonderful sunlight, and this just completes the calmness I feel, even if there's no snow...xD

  • most beautiful music i ever heard on the sither xDDD lovely isn't it?

  • most memorable performance for me during the entire show! <3ed it!

  • wonderful!

  • Wow, it's the right time for this music. The cold Spring snow is falling. It's a chilly April 1st in the land of the calm mornings. The Spring snow brings the calmest mornings of the year.

  • so sooothing, peaceful, and lovely music...not like western music...

  • i agree- even though i am western myself this music is so beatiful~

  • The passage from 2:05 through 3:30 is very close to American Appalachian traditional music, with some lines resembling blues phrasing.

  • What you mention is very characteristic of korean tradition music..although I am no expert, I suspect that this style is very ancient. It's amazing how music converges at different rates but can come to a similar result.

  • 와.. 춘설이다. 올려주셔서 고맙습니다.
