We should buy carbon offsets at carbonfund website. Its pretty cool, you can offset your car and air travel. You can also choose the 100% offset option or donate clean power. I think there are other websites out there that do that but I know that this one is legit.

I don't see why there isn't a system where the energy compay installs wind turbines and sloar panles on roofs and the sides of large buildings. Then put a large battery in the basement of the building to store extra. The energy company owns and maintains the solar and wind generators and takes any extara power for its own. You have first dibs on the pwoer generated on your own house and pay a sort of rent for the equipment they provide you with.

These campaigns are designed to "Raise Awareness" for the fact that fossil fuels are limited in availability, often imported and dirty and that we should try to use better sources of energy.  IS THERE ANYONE ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH WHO IS NOT ALREADY ***AWARE*** OF THIS?

This campaign is three BILLION dollars that could do a lot of good but instead it just creates advertisements to state what everyone is already well aware of.

A question about those big wind towers. Can birds & bees see and calculate the spinning white blades as they fly? Do they have to be that big?

The birds and the bees can take care of themselves. Honestly the probability that a bee would be hit by a spinning blade is pretty low. If it happens once in a while, it will make a statistically insignificant difference in their population. Birds would likely see the movement, and steer clear.

Larger blades that spin slower are better, they are easier for birds to avoid. There used to be a problem with birds hitting turbines, but the bigger slower blades decreased it dramatically.
