Smoke and mirror scam which was entirely made up and sold by the real scammers, the guys who ran the seminars. Tom Vu was a frontman.

@Forsure3333 It was about being a vulture in downturning economies, by looking for distressed properties, investigating why the are distressed (back taxes, divorce etc.) and exploiting those people. Then networking with doctors by hanging out in hospital cafeterias trying to sell the houses to doctors. No shit.... thats what it was, and of course it was all lies. What it really was was him charging $5000 a head for a sucker's bet. Every psychological trick is used.

This commercial was on ALL THE TIME in the early '90s late '80s. I remember Tom Arnold had a show on HBO at the time, and he actually had an episode where he too Tom Vu to an amusement park and rode a roller coaster with him. It was hilarious! I wish someone had that clip on youtube.

I think Tom Vu got bagged by the IRS eventually? And then became a pro poker player.
