I'm jealous!!! Did your bird start this on it's own or did you have to "train" him/her? I have a 2 year old and he tolerates a bath, but won't actively participate. He does allow me to get him completely wet (minus ear canal), but doesn't flap or prance around. So, did your bird take to this naturally the first time, or over time, or did you use any tricks to get yours motivated? Thanks, Jeff
Every parrot is different. Your parrot may very well be enjoying just sitting there taking a bath. You might also try different things like using a spray bottle or holding your parrot on your hand in the shower. Our Timneh Tillie in the video likes the spray bottle. Our Congo Arua likes taking baths in her water dish.
I put my Grey, Conrad, in the shower with me (on the floor). I have a bit of a belly, and when he has had enough of his shower, he will stand on my feet as if he is standing under a tree to protect himself from the "tropical rain!" Search "TattooKub" on YouTube for some videos of Conrad. Tillie does love her shower!
