I heard this song on Just Visting Three by Zo/ Eric Roberson and loved it and finally decided to search out the orignal. Eric Roberson and Phonte killed this song but I see where they got the inspiration Eric Tagg did his thing just a great song period
WOWWW!!! fam, y'all makin' a brother like me really do his homework!!! LOL. I couldn't put 3+3 together when I heard the Zo! cover but then I hadn't put no energy to find the original until now. Erro & Te did murder this track on the cover, but Eric Tagg did his thing too on the original. Man, I gotta have this one for my collection. Now, where can I find it fam? Peace.
@jasont0815 I found one for a decent price on one of the websites. I'm going to order it now before they raise the price back up. Seriously, this album should be back in print. It's one of those records that a lot of people want, but people can barely find. I went on numerous searches at various vinyl outlets over the years and found every other album but this one, LMAO!!!!!
@MyJunior1975 Oh cool! Yeah, I ordered it off of Amazon. & yeah, all his stuff should be pressed up again, & I think if He wanted it, it would easily happen, cause I can't see how anyone who has heard these records could say no!
This song is so beautiful...I love it...great lyrics too. I need to buy this album somewhere. I wish someone could release this on iTunes or Amazon or something.
He sang at "Fender's" club in Dallas Tx in the 70's for me and my girl one rainy night, when no one showed up that night. We had Eric and the band to ourselves all night! The most magical night of my life. Can't believe he had a landscaping co. back then. AMAZING TALENT!
I worked on this album as assistant engineer to Don Murray at Monterey sound in LA. Amazing project! Someone asked about "Marianne"...great song with a very clever lyric. Other great tracks on this LP were "No One There" and "In The Way". This was my favorite project I got to work on. Lee was/is a great producer and of course all the musicians were the top in LA. Eric sent me a CD of gospel stuff a few years ago - it was fantastic! I wonder if it ever was released? If so, you should get it!
Thank you sooo much for posting this song it's so amazingly mellow and heavenly. There's also another song off this album called "Just another dream".will you please post that song also? Erik's music is so powerfully fullfilling it soothes the mind and it whispers to that inner spirit that yearns for such beautifull melodies such as this.I have so much respect for artist like Erik Tagg who writes and produces music this it tells me that he understands that music's purpose is to relax the soul.
oh I so agree !!!!!!! this is a very tare talent that you just dont get today with all the music today there is no one like the old boys ritenour grusin tagg etc do you agree????
Agree 100%. Everyone knows "Is it You?" but there are so many other Rittenour, Tagg gems people are unfamiliar with...Where have the days of good music gone?

@chefbaby8879 Amazon or eBay, but I must warn you that Eric Tagg's record is rare. The prices are going for at least thirty dollars at the minimum.

He sounds like a cross between Stevie Wonder and David Pack, both of whom I like as well.

Nice song!

This album features a lot of groovy bass lines. This tune I think features Nathan East on bass while Lee Ritenour does the guitar. =)
