  • beautiful, I can feel the sacredness.

  • A small church but always filled to capacity! But for this true Marian priest people came from great distances !

  • way better than anglican protestant ways

    lucky to be catholic

  • We are not lucky to be Catholic. We are truly blessed. God bless

  • @seesint yep God Bless.

  • Thank you for your kind comment. And you use it in such a beautiful way !

I mean as part of the novena. This video covered the end of the annual May procession. If interested watch the Youtube - user/seesint site.

You will find more video's about our church and the school. Monsignor was in all respects a true Holy priest. God bless you and yours.

  • I love this video!!! I used it last year as part of my own novena, preparation for Pentacost. And, I have started today, this year's novena to the Holy Spirit with it also!!!

I hope others will too!!! God Bless, and thankyou for this wonderful video!!!! Amen

    ps

I love the statue of Our Lady of Fatima in front of the Altar. Thus, Mary always leads us to her son, Jesus!!!! What a simple, yet very beautiful church!!!! Amen

  • You mean your grandma was in St. Roch's ? If so she will miss this holy priest like all of us. God bless

  • great shot, god bless you .

  • God bless you too, fellow. Stay close to Him.

  • You are so right! It seems that when for whatever reason we are not able to receive the sacraments or participate in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass we miss it more than ever before. Padre Pio said it right: "It is better to live a day without the sun than a day without the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. May God bless you.

  • It is extremely difficult not to be able to participate in the beauty of the mass due to health problems. We never realize the significance of it,the blessings received, until we are unable to be present in the Catholic Church, and adore the splendor of every mass.May our Lord Jesus Christ grant healing to all those of us that hunger for the true celebration of the mass as it was intended,by Him,Who initiated it for His Glory.

  • I've watched this video many times. Nostalgia of very moving/touching/solemn times.

  • May the Lord Jesus Christ raise good, holy men to His priesthood. Our Church desperately needs saints!

  • Nice!

  • seesint - I appreciate fully your diplomatic comment. I was an altar boy with the old Latin Mass for years , & knew priests (& bishops) who were wonderful men , but could give sermons that would put untold numbers of faithful into a coma . Animae ejus et animae omnium fidelium defunctorum , requiesant in pace.

  • I love the service of Benediction and this video was exactly as I rememberd it from many years ago at my own parish church. You informed me that the holy priest died not long after, but he certainly had a good strong voice.

I understand the church has closed and I would love to know where the altar servers and congregation went afterwards to worship. It was truly sad to hear that this church closed and I would be grateful to hear of any ongoing developments. Pleae email me.

  • Great video. 5 stars!

  • Thank you so much. Your site is by the way a beautiful site too! Keep up the good works.

  • Great video!

Indeed, Blessed be God forever and ever, Amen.

Thank you very much for sharing.

    God bless!

  • Thanks and may God bless you.

  • I will pray that your appeal to Rome is successful!

  • Thank you very much. We need your prayers.

Wishing you a truly Merry Christmas with all your loved ones.

  • Beautiful service, lovely music, very reverent. Now if you could just get the altar put back where it belongs!

  • We all agree with you. Unfortunately the church is now closed (however under appeal in Rome)

  • Why is this church closed? In this video it looks like a very vivid parrish!

  • Very good question! The bishop closed it because of a "shortage of priests". This was one of the most flourishing parishes in the USA. You could not find a better house of God. But there is still a little hope. It cannot be touched because it is under appeal in Rome. So we keep praying!!!

  • Is your bishop a very "liberal" (in German we say "altliberal" - "old liberal". I don't know how to translate that very special meaning of it ;) and modernistic one?

Liberals and modernistics don't like flourishing parishes so they try to displace the faithful.

  • Let me put it nicely. He was not stimulating. He is now retired and as it looks at the present time was replaced with a more stimulating one. Time will tell.

  • I love the organ, it lifts the mind to God!

  • Thank you too because I watched that procession in Nebraska. Beautiful!

  • O salutaris Hostia,

    Quae caeli pandis ostium:

    Bella premunt hostilia,

    Da robur, fer auxilium.

    Uni trinoque Domino

    Sit sempiterna gloria,

    Qui vitam sine termino

    Nobis donet in patria.

    Amen.

  • Starting with the above and ending with the Tantum Ergo covers the entire period of adoration and exhibition of the Most Blessed Sacrament and nothing is more beautiful in the whole world! I have seen your site and my compliments!!! It must be very difficult to maintain these values in a country where most of the Roman Catholic Faith has gone. Keep up the faith, my friend and God bless you and yours. Ik was geboren in Den Haag, vertrok in 1965, ben nu 78 dus heb het helaas allemaal zien gebeuren

  • I love this hym

  • we sing this Hym on Holy Thuresday when we have the procession of the alter of repose

Amen.
  • hablas portuguese?

  • Unfortunately not. So sorry. God bless

  • thank u for that nice vidio...

    best regards from dubai!

  • God Bless the Our Holy Catholic Church, God Bless Us His people and God Bless this blessed Sacrament and all who are joining in Adoration of our Lord, Jesus Christ!

  • very interesting!

  • lovely to hear this hymn. I am smelling the incense at this moment , tinkling of the bell, the stillness during Benediction. All evoking such memories of our walk to the church with my Mother, her devotion to her faith and the Blessed Sacrament also her insistence on making sure we also attended Benediction, whether we liked it or not, choice was unheard of then, but good Catholic Mothers were many. Eventually I sang in the O Salutaris in our choir .Thanks Mum you were right afterall!

  • It is so good to hear you say that about your mom! Because I am as blessed as you are and will always be very grateful for that. Thanks for your comment and God bless.

  • this is my favourite video on youtube. we also have a st rochs in glasgow!

  • Happy to see it is your favorite! I did not know that Glasgow was also blessed with a St. Roch's church. I am originally a sea-captain from trade and used to call Glascow and Finnart with our tankers (BP) But that's long ago. :-)

  • Laus Iesu

  • It's so great a privilege being a Catholic! I actually wasn't born such, but chose to be and got baptized a few years ago, when I was... 33. Fully convinced this is the Church founded by Jesus Himself!

Jesus, I love You! I love You! I love You!

    I love the Catholic Church!

  • God bless you and yours. Keep the faith!

  • God bless you, dear friend. I firmly believe that our Father in Heaven will continue to guide & guard you all life through. keep enjoying yourself & be good. His grace is enough for us His children. cheers.

  • May God bless you and your family too!

  • Oh Lord I believe. I adore you and I worship you. Please forgive my unbelief.

Lord have mercy on us, our departed brothers and sisters gone before us, and all our seperated brethren. In Your Love and Mercy, purify all the holy souls in purgatory and grant them eternal rest in heaven. Jesus in your most holy name, we pray. Amen.

  • Wow! I didn't know that there were other St. Roch's churches in America. I go to a St. Roch's in Indianapolis and most people that I tell that to have no clue who St. Roch is.

  • Yes,we know that feeling but he was for real. Thanks for the comment. We visited a church in his honor in Paris (Rue the St.Roch) and one on top of a hill in Germany opposite Rudesheim. He is all around but many don't seem to know. Ours is a beautiful parish too.

    God bless.

  • Let us hope that with the Moto Propio we will see more TLM,s. I am like you: I cannot read music but play by ear. God bless.

  • Thank you for your kindness.

  • No love is indeed greater. God bless you too.

  • THIS is Catholic Christian worship at its best!!!

  • it's nice to see that people are posting expositions here. thank you for this! :)

  • greets from germany....i love that song...its the same in our church. I am altar servant. i hope you´ll answer me

  • Greetings from Bangor. Yes, it is a beautiful expression of our love for the Most Blessed sacrament, the core of our R.C.faith. As altar servant you are close to Him and I pray you be a real good one.

    God bless.

P.S. Do you have an email address?

  • Beautiful service of exposition and benediction! Beautiful church!

  • Thank you. Indeed we are very blessed.

  • soo glad Pope Benedict XVI is bringing back the old Latin tradition. It's much more solemn and meaningful at least personally for me.

  • Agree. And I think we will see more of growth with the young families. That was quite obvious in our parish.

  • I just got back from Italy, where I attended a Saturday vigil Mass at St. Peter's. The Mass was in Italian, and I realized that far from being an inconvenience, hearing the Mass in a language I didn't fully understand added a great aura of mystery to the rite. I'd like to see more Masses in Latin, either Novus Ordo or Indult Tridentine.

  • Very nice, I allways like Tantum Ergo

  • Optime!

  • Yes, you are so right. I love your use of words: "bleached"! It speaks for itself. God bless.

  • It's a shame the Catholic Church throw away most of the latine rite... The old rite touch your heart, is vibrant and inspire to prayer compare to the "bleached" new rite.

  • I s not the Church wronging , but the modernist cardinals!

  • But are the modernist cardinals not part of the Holy Church?

  • You are soooooooooooo right.

  • A wonderful song, written by one of my favorite saints (Thomas Aquinas). :D

If I remember correctly, he was commissioned to write this for the feast of Corpus Christi?

  • If it was up to me I prefer everything as before 1962 but was already exceedingly happy with a priest who brought the Traditional Latin Mass back into our parish and all the other celebrations such a May processions, etc. Oh, boy, I wish the church had 10,000 of them.

  • I was deeply moved at the fact people where kneeling in the doorway...true devotion

  • Thanks and you are right again. Yes, monsignor could really always talk about a "full house" and it proves what just one priest can do !!!

  • Benediction the way I know it. Solemn

  • Thanks for your response. And you used indeed the right word: Solemn !
