  • Well there's no need for me to pick out all the mistakes made on this fire, there's over 50 comments that already did, with that said, I sure hope that these guys can learn from this fire, and train to ensure that the next one goes better. I'm assuming that this is an Volunteer Dept., and if so, regardless of their skills, they should be commended for doing it in the first place. I would really enjoy seeing a new video of these guys after training and improving. Stay safe and train hard!!

  • Wow is all I can say.....

  • wow I hate to say anything bad and I know how tough being a firefighter can be, ive been a Captain with our dept for 5 years but this dept really needs to be trained better they should have had there scbas on and turned on before they got out of the engine and should have had a team on that hose ready to make an interior attack through the front door alot faster then they did..all i can say is train..but every fire is a learning experiance.

  • Attacking from the front is not always the best, but how many fires have I seen on You Tube, and been involved with myself, where doing that would have at least got things under way, and on occasions has done the job, and in one case at least that I personally performed, probably saved 4 lives.

Obviously, an interior investigation and possible attack must follow closly.

These guys were there, they did their job, and hopefully lessons were learned.

Good luck god bless to you all.

  • couldn't bare to watch, but i did. What a mess!

  • are ya kidding me no helment please tell me that ='s not the chief

  • can we pack up in the truck jesus christ

  • messed up or not, they got the wet stuff on the red stuff and the fire went out. fighting fire isnt rocket science and i think these men have just proven that. at least give them an a for effort.

  • dont worry fellas, take your time and grab a gatorade. The fire will go out on its own......eventually

  • Words can't express... To think this is actually happening out there. If i did'nt see it myself...I would'nt have believed it. Just, wow. The incompetence here is sobering.

  • Why would you push the fire back into the house instead of making entry and pushing the fire away from the house while making a good knockdown? these guys need training!

  • Could they fucking be any slower?

  • Horrible. This place should be shut down. I guess nobody knew there was a door on this house. Whoever does your training should be fired.

  • WOW I dont know what to say.

  • completely speechless!!! thanks for posting so people know what not to do!!

  • Should have been already geared up before even arriving on scene

  • what a bunch of armchair fire chiefs here you guys couldnt put out a candle

  • That was the most pathetic display of fire scene activity EVER.

  • was this jus a drill?? cuz i know the lady who used to live there

  • I remember my first fire...

  • Room and contents fire, and no one goes in. Find another hobby.

  • @ffighting13 holy fucken hobbyists... That was the worst firefighting job I have ever seen, you nailed it, exterior job on an inside fire..way to push the heat and smoke back into the house... and to top it off some firefighters bottle wasn't even connected on the high pressure ...

  • WOW, well good video of yet again, firefighting failures! Umm, I was hoping this was just a "Practice House"!! Damn, dude was more concentrated on squirting the GRASS??!! First off, I would have advised radio that we needed MORE manpower and had dispatch strike another alarm! Here in Illinois, we call a house fire a first alarm. Usually on a first alarm, there is automatically 4 or 5 departments paged out. No offense to the department or the FF's on scene, but ya dropped the ball prob'es !

  • Uuum, meanwhile, gentlemen....the,uh, house is--ahem--burning....

  • i dont get how this is bad?

  • This is horrible.

  • Im in an all volunteer county, and if we preformed like this we would be ran off. It cant happen like that. Poor image to the community. And if your ok with this your a scar on the fire service just as the ones in the video. Sorry uf i offend anyone but we cannot tollerate poor preformances anymore.

  • Reminds of that commercial of 'hitting the easy button.' Not the preferred tactics but there was a steam conversion. My guess the house is still standing.

  • WORST FUCKING THING IVE EVER SEEN...

  • The truck arrives at 17 seconds... two minutes later they start to put water on the fire... if this had been an ER you would have died. Why do we PAY these guys for such poor responsiveness. Two minutes to pull a hose out and start to put water on a fire? When did we all agree that this level of poor performance was acceptable?

  • Why does it take two guys to put an airpack on? Wheres the size up chief? Pull up, pull line, mask up at the door, force entry, go in and play. It shouldnt take 3 minutes to pack up. My dept would have been in the front door throwing some water already. I like how they have a guy designated just to turn bottles on for guys. Pathetic......

  • Piss-Poor firefighting. What happened to being prepared, packed up, and ready to go inside and put the fire out? Even more important, search the structure for victims! Time to train for the basics! Glad I don't live in this town, or if I did I would make sure these guys trained for the job.

  • i work on a fire dept and the first thing i do is pack up and im ready to go in a house within 30 secs of grabbing my air pack this is horable

  • OMG!!! First of all, how many SCBA were leaking? When do you guys check your airpacks? ROOM AND CONTENTS!! SEARCH AND RESCUE!! Hey Chief, is there a grass fire?? Put the hose in the door when going in you PUSSIES!!!!! Training, training, training!!!!! You guys suck!!!!!

  • @bk66661

    Amen!

  • @bk66661 your an ass wipe. that chief there is my uncle. he almost died from pancreatic cancer, he should be dead. its hard for him to even move nowadays. and this was his second battle with cancer. the guys 52. have some common sense

  • Another video that is disappointing.

  • wow

  • I clicked like because this is a fine example of how not to put out a fire. Even I can see that - in my unprofessional size up where I can only see one side (not sure if it's the A or the B side) I see fire in one room, the windows are all black = smoke build up; then the left upper window starts smoking. I heard a saw and hope it was a FF on the roof, venting .....

I kept waiting for the guys to go in and search..hope no one was inside.

  • @sharppointy1 This is a room and contents, nothing more. I don't think the windows are smoked, its just dark inside. The second story window was open with light smoke so they got a good jump on this fire. That noise you heard was the driver trying to pull a prime not a saw. Stay Safe!!

  • you guys put the fire out right? well then you did a good job. ive heard of fires where the FD is on scene and not a single drop of water gets put on it until 20 min later.

  • Thank god I don't live in that town

  • Hope no one was inside, might want to check when you get a chance. POOR!

  • someone call 911.

  • C.H.A.O.S. = Chief Has Arrived On Scene. Very poor firefighting. I'll be using this video for our departments 'what not to do' training.

  • Aggressive interior attack............oh no forget it just toss it in the windows.

  • omg they dont evan put it out at the start!!

  • When I was 10 years old sitting on the shitter at my dads firehouse looking through firehouse magazines aweing at the pictures this is how i thought it was done now im 28 and an officer in my own department and all i can say is wow...i hope nobody got hurt...it's amazing how times and training can change the outcome of an event..be safe everyone!

  • Hello everyone.........I appreciate the comments but feel the need to let you all know something......THIS IS NOT my department and I posted it here so I could convert it to a .wav file and use it in training .......because as you have all pointed out this is piss poor firefighting. Thanks Weruj

  • why are you pushing the fire back in the house? where is the search? was that an 1 3/4 line? You guys really need to get in there and attack it and just use this as a lesson learned and you should critique this video. And lastly was that a chief who opened up the line if so you put your life in his decision making I know it sounds harsh but that was a MAJOR mistake. If there were people inside he just burnt them to death with the steam

  • ...

  • Very Slowly..!

  • Dang... I thought I was gonna see some good interior attack from these guys... Guess not

  • Don't push the fire back into the house. Come on guys its a basic room and contents. Get in and push out the window.
