OMG thats what were getting right now. I have never heard anything like it. Me and my dog were never effected by storms, even strong ones, but right now i wanna be in my basement more than ever. we had hot weather today, thats why, but were supposed to get storms saturday, and its supposed to be even HOTTER. :( The thunder would go on for like 2-3 mins, when normally you see the lightning, then boom the thunder thats it. but it sounds like it hits then plays back in a loop. its weirddd
my Cousin lives in Belgium, will call I see if he knows anything! Used to hear rolling thunder in Northern Ontario, Canada, but nothing like this...this is just spooky!!!!
this isnt wierd in fact all you are seeing is the flash created by the actual bolt. if you look closly their is 2 clouds infront of the one flashing which means lightning is coming into contact with the cloud infront and all you see is the flash this actually hapenned last night in bristol uk 9/5/08
That is really interesting, as the lightning all appears to be in one particular part of the cloud. I wonder if there was anything nearby on the ground that was triggering the very regular discharges, an electricity installation of some kind, possibly?
hahaha if yall were in Texas in weather like that, before the storm and before anything started falling out of the sky, you could walk down any given neighborhood and see people standing and staring at the sky, talking to the neighbors about how insane the weather is....true story!
the village i live in (Duffel) had a tornado that day. I remember standing under a giant pack of rotating clouds. i wasn't really scared but it was a threatening sky. then i realized that it's from those rotating systems tornados are born. And a few minutes later 300 meters ahead there was glass from a greenhouse flying all around

I'm agreeing with scottloveshot there was a tornado. that's why the lightning was just in the one area. Awsome storm video. I love it.

from where i was standing,there are some highwires were this cloud discharges so many times.
But if that actually does matter,i dunno :)
