I played and beat Uncharted 2 and having never played Uncharted 1, I was able to call all of the so called "plot twists." The story was just exposition after exposition. The shooting mechanics are better in Gears of war. Climbing is more intuitive in Assasins Creed, climbing looks cooler in Prince of Persia and it's easier in InFamous.

I was EXTREMELY surprised that Uncharted 2 got any awards at all much less game of the year.

But I will say that the character development is absolutely superb.

You can't compare this series to any other games, its unique in its own way, just as all the games you've mentioned, and each game you've mentioned expressed more of one mechanic than the others, making one thing seem better than most in the game, Uncharted expressed all mechanics equally, and they were each amazingly preformed.

And the fact that Bioshock Infinite will also have a copy of Bioshock 1 in the same Blu-ray disc, exclusive to PS3, and how Battlefield 3 will have a copy of Battlefield 1943 in the same blu-ray disc, just because it can! Blu-rays hold so much. There are many reasons to get a PS3, Uncharted being quite a good reason.

Drake isn't an explorer as she called him, he's a pirate. Pirates seem very romantic to us but this is not a Disney's trilogy for you. They rape your women, slaughter your men and burn your town. It's bizarre how in this game they made him a hero. Well, I'm too serious today. Uncharted is a better game than any given "new: Tomb Raider. Beautiful levels and amazing protagonist.

Believe I watched the 10 first parts of this walkthrough and when I was playing the game I knew exactly what to do. Wasn't so fun, that's why I enjoyed the rest of it more. So I suggest you don't watch this and play the game. If you don't have money to buy both games right now, buy the Platinum version of UC1 (it's not so expensive) and the game will keep you entertained while you save money for UC2.
