okay so I seemed to have missed everything between 1:50 - 2:03 and 2:33 - 3:00 and I have beaten LOK SR 1, where did Turel come from? I never fought him...

@TobiComics These images are from several of the games. Soul Reaver 1 for most of the vampires, Soul Reaver 2 for most of the Human versions of the clan. Turel was either in Soul Reaver 2 or Legacy of Kain Defience.

his cloth has 2 parts to the symbol on it and when it landed on him at the end of the abyss it was somewhat folded then when he got up it and threw it around himself it managed to make the tear symbol, its easier if you just watch the beginning movie closely and look at the symbol and the cloth as it falls on to him at the end of the abyss

Hi Jade,

I wanted to comment on the reference of raziel's emblem that I read above. To note, first off, at the end where you show raziel emblem in full it is actually upside down. If you watch the soul reaver intro you'll see the emblem facing with the "wingspread" upwards. It is only when he is damned and destroyed that he inverts his symbol and wears it, not only, as a hatred/mockery of his former beauty but also as a represent of what he became. The redeemer and destroyer.

I wonder, when the designers started making this game, did they come up with the monster (evolved) forms of the brothers first or did they come up with the vampiric versions instead? Or did the original designs start with the offspring? Cause I have to say a LOT of effort went into their creation. Pity that these vampires only appear in one LoK eh guys?

Acording to the game many centuries went by while Raziel floated in the abyss. I'm sure that Nosgoth becoming more corrupted might have had an influence in their evolution. I'm sure if Raziel had not been cast in to the abyss he would have evolved into a flying creature of some sort. Here's a question for ya. Everyone evolved / devolved in to some monster form, but what about Kain? He stayed the same.

And maybe it was because he has grown even more powerful and divine. but it was stated that Kain was also affected by the corruption, and he was purified when he became one with raziel, his right hand. in Kain's case the coruption was in his character or personality. I imagine that he was purified since he intended to restore the balance and all that. too bad we'll never know

That's a good a good reason too. I think most vampires are made from living bodies. Look at Vorador he's supposed to be the father of all human born vampires. (not always directly). I'm sure he's made way more than just what Kain did. So maybe using dead bodies is not the best way to go. Also look at the way Kain was made.  He different than other vampires in that 1. he was already dead when he got made. 2. he wasn't turned by another vampire but by the necromancer.

Then again when he made Raziel and his brothers Vorador was dead so he didn't have anyone to tell him how to make a vampire. Their are any number or reasons. In the end choose the one you like and stick with it. My fav reason is that it made for a fun plot device end of story. :P

@JadeZenRaven I believe Kain remained the way he was, because he was both the source for the corruption of Nosgoth and he was already adapted to his environment. As Raziel said, over time Kain became less vampire and more...divine. That suggests Kain became even less mortal than the other vampires, maybe not requiring food or water any longer. (Not requiring doesn't mean he won't enjoy a good blood feast every once and a while.)

**Now, the clincher: Kain travelled through time, right? Sometimes even on a regular basis. Is it possible that travelling through time distorted his evolution?
