@MikeyLikesNike, actually I like the 22's. Maybe I'm just 'ol school. The ones in this vid are long gone though. I have custom milled 1-offs that are staggered. Plus, I can raise the vehicle up to original stock height and mash out without a problem; including making u-turns without it having to be a 3-point turn.
@DubCity2 well i guess thats my personal opinion i know a gguy 4's on his expedition and he is gettin it bagged really soon and the person doin the install said he can lay frame with 4's no problem. also he has an impala with 2's on it that lays frame as well with just bolt on air struts. if u wanna see it search nokturnal chandler az
@MikeyLikesNike. that's what my boy says too, but I like them. They tuck easy and I have mad range of travel. However, the ones in this vid are the ones I have on now.
well dubcity2 i finnalyy got my supercrew =)))))))!!!!!! im in love well im not gonna bag it nd drop it how i orignaly planned but just put rims and do th interior complet soo tell me does the rims make the tranny slip or pull hard?? i want rims simmillar to the ones yu have ownedd......yu have a great taste in customizing things beutiful truckk
26's is more work, much more cutting and fabrication. I'm still on 22's. Not the ones in this vid, but custom 1-off staggered, billet aluminum that I had powdercoated. You can see that in another vid. Also, with the 22;s I have a broader range of travel and no problem airing up and flippin' a bitch (UTurn) where as a bagged ride on 26's can't do that as easily.
Way too much for everything. A lot of rework and then changes on how I wanted things done, after I learned more about adjustable suspension and what direction i wanted to go. Still a work in progress, but the suspension is pretty much done. may swap out compressors for AZs at some point. What's left is a big brake kit, interior and then a supercharge upgrade (which is later down the road).
The ride is great. I generally roll it at the level of a 2/3 drop and that is where I had it aligned. On a flat, smooth road I can air it out and roll 75 with no issues, and very little bump. Bags are much more comfortable to roll on than hydros, plus the 4 link I have in the rear makes a huge difference. I also kept my sway bar up front.
that's a bad ass truck 4 sure man! what's the ride like? I'm thinkin about baggin my 01 explorer...already got 22's on it so i might as well go a step further. not sure if its worth it tho... lemme kno
nice truck homie 1st u are driving my dream truck id give my left nut for a truck lik that and 2nd ford is the shit so fukk yall and 3rd fuck the hatters aying dont lay a truck out its all by choice if ya dont lik it dont comment i mean i lke both lifted and slammed either way yo truck is on fire man keep it up
nice ride! dont personally understand dropping a fullsize truck but looks good! and if you shave ur antenna...run it up ur pillar...thats how ive always done it
The only thing that's stopping me from gett'n airbags on my 'Burban is, those noisey compressors! I think, Imma' go for the hydros. instead! Nice ride tho.. ;-)
Beautiful truck, but am I supposed to be impressed that it goes up and down? Oh My God!!! he did it again.....I can't fuckin stand no more...wow up again...down...
Yeah, it has a little hop, but the tires won't get air. That's cool though, because I'm cruiser not a hopper. I can air that bitch out fully on a nice flat highway at 75mph though.
im in the process of bagging my s10... its a crew cab too. and even tho the s10 aint the same size as the f150 ya truck gives me an idea of how mine would sit. but what bags you have on your truck? just curious
ok I give you props for all the work you put into this truck but seriously the only time it looks cool is when its at its raised up all the way so why wast the money on bags when it looks the best stock.
but thats just my opinion because I lift my trucks not lower them.
Granted, a good part of the time I drive it where it looks like a static 2/3 or 3/4 drop; but I also like the option of being able to be on the highway at 65mph and air out on the ground.
If I had the ends I'd have a dedicated lifted truck too.
Hey dub, I sent you an e-mail awhile back talking about air suspension. well i finally got all the components and it should be here monday. went with air ride technologies for everything. Thanks for helping me out and pointing me in the right direction. Love the Video. when i get mine up i let you know. good looks
Th KP components 4Link was about $1000. I have a bunch of add on stuff, and changes I have made over the years so that all adds up. Depending on what route you go with the rear, tubbing and so on...you could probably get something done for about $4000
The wheels are Eagle Alloys Series 025. However, I recently needed to buy another and was told that the wheel was discontinued; so there are becoming difficult to locate.
Beautiful truck! Love lowered trucks. Mine is a '97 F150 that I lowered back in '98 and it still rides great 164,000 miles later. I may bag it someday. Some don't get the lowered look but I wouldn't have it any other way. I still haul stuff and tow with mine no problems.
The suspension is different but rides very smooth. Obviously, if you drive it real high...you'll get a little bounce; or if you have it completely aired out you'll it gets bumpy. At a drive height it's very very smooth and suspension travel is a bit more comfy. The 4 link in the rear helps a lot.
They are running at the speed they are because I have slow downs making them do so. I like to gradually drop my truck, rather than trying to finger twitch the speed; especially while driving.
The fact that I don't lay frame is by design. I want to be in a position to where if all my bags failed (or my entire system) I can still roll on the highway; 50-65 MPH. I still have my front sway bar that retains the original ride. Go lower, you have to axe the sway bar.
Very Nice Truck. What size valves? It sounds like you only get a little play until the compressors kick in. Engine Driven Compressors are the way to go! A little heavy on the wallet, but I think they're worth it. Again, nice ride.
No you didn't you lying little bitch, your just some little kid, stuck in your dead moms trailer, with just a stray dog for company, tell the truth dog shagger!
Very Clean Truck...5 Stars Man!! Might want to look into a stronger compressor and maybe going up to 1/2" or 5/8" valves. Who did your paint/body work??

hey DubCity2, how does the air bags effect your ride when you drive??? is it any different from regular suspension?

The suspension is different but rides very smooth. Obviously, if you drive it real high...you'll get a little bounce; or if you have it completely aired out you'll it gets bumpy. At a drive height it's very very smooth and suspension travel is a bit more comfy. The 4 link in the rear helps a lot.
