I generally go by the consensus that if Rotten Tomatoes says it's good, then it's good.

This is literally the worst film, nay, the worst piece of media I have seen in my life. I would rather gargle diarrhoea than watch this again. People were leaving the cinema in disgust. My mother watched this film with me; she is a professional actress, and agreed that in improv was sub-par and the pacing of the film was horrendous. There are some ridiculous logic errors too, such as a person painting IN THE RAIN. The characters were bland and unrelatable, even though I'm British.
Loved this film. Tortured dialogue and silences. Often funny. Banal words loaded with meaning. Suppression and explosion. Particularly impressed by the acting. A still frame for still scenes. The stillness of a painting perhaps. Clever layers of symbolism; the island, the painting of the island, the artist's ideas. Let's you think, gives you food for thought. And doesn't insult you by taking you for a numbnut who needs 'zooms and pans' and motion of any sort to occupy your lazy mind.
utter tosh, wooden acting, awful cinematography (you can zoom and pan you know) dreadful lighting, no plot, no engagement with the characters (what characaters) boring dull, had the pace of an asthmatic snail. Try as I might there is only one thing positive about it......anything else is better. Goodness knows how she found the £500,000 to make it. Rubbish - AVOID

Even if all the acting was improvised, it doesn't explain why nobody bothered to cut the many absolutely pointless scenes. We saw the characters park their bikes in the same driveway and go through the door about five times with no variation for crying out loud.
This is the worst film I have ever seen. If anyone says it is remotely good then they must have fallen asleep and been dreaming of something better, which is probably likely seeing as it is so boring and so dull. No storyline, endless shots of pointless rubbish, and stupid characters with no personality, unless you call being a wet blanket personality. Definitely agree with the comment below, the only thing I was thinking when watching this god awful film was I would rather watch paint dry.
I've seen some terrible films in my time, but this has got to be the worst by miles, its 1hr 50 minutes of pure boredom, the trailer is exciting as it gets, I don't know why I bothered to watch it all the way through, seriously save yourself the bother and watch paint dry for a couple of hours, it won't cost you a thing and it will be more entertaining..what a waste.
This looks good. I'd never heard of it but read a review in metro which made it sound an interesting film. So, I'm going to order it. I've absolutely no idea why I have written this comment...

It's really funny because all the comment on the movie are either "this is the worst movie in the universe" or "it was surprisingly good, and moving".
