  • how did you get the Oil seal out at the PTO location?

  • @temarthersyt

we used a carb pick with a hook on it .

  • This is a lot better than cable!

  • @keepyourdrawingloose

    lol . thanks man

  • could u show me how to wire a cub and how to make the engine get a spark

  • @Cod4Killa07 i will send you a good video on that subject .

  • Thanks for filling me in on that. I just hope mine turns out as good as yours.

  • you can do it :)

let me know if i can help .

  • Hey 500 ive been watching this from the first video and im doing the same witha ford lgt18h and im a big fan of this. Also I just seen something, your stickers are differnt one is 128 the other is 129. I dont know much about cubs, i dont think there suppose to be like that.

  • thanks buddy , its a universal sticker kit .

    its got the stickers for a 129 and a 128 .

you just use the ones you need ,

dont ask me why cub does that :)

  • projects are kind of like a wife .

they both cost a lot of money in the end . lol

  • Bring on 17 brother!

    :)

  • im trying :) check tonight

  • Your cubby is looking and running good. I know how you feel about it being a money pit. I feel my car is doing the same thing to me. 5 Stars buddy!

  • thanks buddy , we will whip both of them in the end . :)

  • 5* yeah always something to slow things down uh, kinda like being on the toilet and ya run out of toilet paper half way thru a wipe. ; hahah. :)

  • lol , thanks , . i already got it whipped i think , waiting on new pulley and muffler from ebay , got a service manual to :)

  • Cool deal,. gotta love ebay , well most the time, i wanna see that tractor in a damn parade pulling a wagon behind it with bar girls on the back, ! lol..

  • way ahead of you :) . might have a calendar with bikini model

in the works . me and my tractor buddies will have 12 nice restos when my 2 are done .

  • so nice to having a belt starte/generator, much more quiet

  • this is my first cub , i guess you mean other models are louder . glad i got a quiet one .lol

  • no i mean that belt starters are quieter than gear starter

  • ok , now im with you :)

  • ..... is impatiently waiting for Cub Cadet Project 17.... thump thump thump thump.... love your series.

I have a loose mesh debris screen, where the hydro driveshaft connects to the engine. How difficult is it to remove the crankshaft nut and hub, or is the mesh supposed to be loose?

  • thanks , have patience , i got a new pulley and muffler , just havent gotten them in mail yet. ordering tires monday .

the mesh shouldnt be loose . i think it screws to back of pulley if i remember right . you just take the axle out , remove one nut holding pulley on , but it might be tough getting a pulley puller on it without pulling engine , but i think it can be done

  • A pulley on the backside? I looked closer at the video and it looks like you have a pully where the driveshaft connects to the engine. I don't. hmmmmm

What would that pully be used for ?

    thx

  • its an auxillary pulley for an attachment or something i guess .

thats the way my 129 came , im not sure on yours

  • Lookin' good 500.

Don't let that turkey whoop ya.

  • thanks , you know me , i dont give up easy

  • hey 500 whats the deminsions of your shop?

  • 30x60ft

  • why you building one

  • thanks , the pto is fighting me , but she looks good:)

  • hey 500, i found a muffler on eBay, noise reduction. $100 buy it now $13.55 shipping item # is 300348559917

  • thanks for the effort slowride , i appreciate it .

    i will check it out

  • its no big deal and it took like a minute. anything for a friend

  • nice lookin good 500

  • thanks man

  • Yeah, those gremlins have a way of eating one's wallet, that's for sure! Engine sounds good anyways!

  • thanks , some body called it a Cub CaDEBT .lol

  • shure lookin nice 500 ,man if you think the cubs a money pit try a deere theres a reason john deere is the color of money

im restorin a 66 110 now my winter project ,keep up the good work pal

  • thanks , make some videos

  • Hey 500, she looks great! As far as naming her, how about Renita, "resistant". Keep it up!

  • thanks man , Renita huh , not bad

  • Lookin good!

  • thanks

  • Long time coming on both tractors. Cool to see that you got it running for that little bit. It would "add a nice touch if you ran dual pipes with glass packs out the back."

  • thanks man , glass packs huh , have to think about it :)

  • I guess you could run it on Nitro and put Zummie pipes on it like the top fuelers

  • Wont be long now.

  • thank you

  • mufflers that is

  • go on ebay. they got the oem style for only 27 bucks. and no it isnt cheaply made. i buy them all the time

  • cool , thanks man

  • looks great man. 5 stars. to bad about the pully.

  • thanks man

  • i've been looking for an old ford 8n tractor. i found two case tractors but parts might be hard to get...all the small tractors i've seen are all rotted

  • yeah , its tough to find a good one

  • these are the original. they r brand new and powder coated. trust me. they wont let you down!!!!! its a nice touch. they rnt used they r brand new

  • love the videos ...that 's too bad...i had to rebuild my rm125 a few times to fix the corks...your deadly with a heat gun...lol

  • thanks man , i will get her done eventually :)

  • I think you can take the pulley off with out removing the engine, i have a video of doing it.

  • i will check it out

  • thanks man , i checked out your video , pretty cool.

i will probably pull engine anyway . so i dont scratch frame or anything hard to repaint :)

  • She might be stubborn and a little bit ornary, but once you get her purring, she will put out all day long. :-)

  • lol . thanks

  • Don't forget women stubborn!!! You get her straighten out!! She sounds good!! You had wood for a few minutes!! LOL Wife said your info sounds like a song. LOL

  • :) thanks man , i dont give up easy .lol

  • thats a really good one. ive got a 1972 128 plus a few others myself. the ony thing i dont ike about mine is the clutch bearing is bad. it makes an aweful grinding noise, but i dont really want to pull the engine to change it LOL

i have a deck and homemade snow plow for the 128, but the deck spindles are really tight. i had the deck from a 124 i traded a while back, it fit right in place with the 128 muledrive/hanger frame.

  • thanks , you might not need to pull engine if your not worried about paint getting messed up . i will have to repaint pto. oh well . bad day in the shop is better than a good day at work.lol

  • its not the pto clutch bearing thats bad,its the one on the driveshaft clutch. the throwout bearing it bad

  • the dash sticker is so so hard to put on, ive been talking to a good friend of my dads who restored a 149 and made it look like a big international red tractor. it is amazing but anyways the point was he said the dash was the worst sticker to put on!!!!! haha, looks like you did a good job. Oh my oil seal was bad too.....and bering.......and pully.....and engine.....haha we will be talkin when my engine comes back.

  • thanks , the metal piece was little torn up underneath

    but it looks decent .

you need me to go talk to that machine shop. :)

  • nice this might turn out better than the wheel horse great job 5 stars

  • thank you . i think it will to . especially when the decks rebuilt to.

  • You are good

  • thanks man

  • looking good

  • thank you

  • dang that stinks, lol u need to call it the cub cadebt, lol nice to here her run, your doing an A++ job! 5 stars!

  • thanks stihl , cub cadebt . i lke that one

  • Keep checking ebay 500 I got a new one on there for my 129 for 29 bucks + shipping.

    Cal

  • will do cal , thanks for the help
