@pimplahdon Yes I agree, that bible does teach that the earth was created about 6000 years ago, during a period of 6 24/hr days. That's not true however. The earth was never created by anyone and it happened 4.54 billion years ago.

The words creation and evangelism go together, but don't try to mix in science. "Creation Science Evangelism", is nonsense, its like saying "violent pacifist" or "square circle".

Science is about discovering facts and then drawing conclusions from them.

"Creation evangelism" is about already "knowing" the conclusion, and then try to find anything that will support that already given conclusion.

If you really "read between the lines" then it may seem like there are "scientific miracles" in there, but in reality its just vague passages that can be interpreted to mean almost whatever you want.

Matthew Fontaine Maury lived from 1806 - 1873, and that is where the main stream media says it was discovered, but it is possible others read it in the book before, and figured it out, as you say it has been known for thousands of years.

Truly I look forward to the day that Kent Hovind gets out of Jail, but truly I know, God is with Him, and where ever he goes, because God is with him, he is a mighty man to be reckoned with. People will be coming in to the kingdom where ever he goes. I think I will do a happy dance though....ha ha ha ha ha.....on the day he gets out. I will let you know, if I find out.

@Alphacaliber until in contradicts what God says to do in the bible. I don't know how good you know the bible but there is a good example of this in the book of Daniel. Truly you know it could be said, that God, who is King wrote the whole book of the bible through men, like men use pens. But if you would go with earthly authority, consider, that Nebuchadnezzar, who was a king of the whole earth, wrote the 4th chapter of Daniel, which is a book, in the old testament, in the bible.

@Alphacaliber regarding the book of Daniel, I am sure you must have heard of shad rack meshack and abednego....that was their Babylonian names that they were given, and the meaning of those names worship idols, but bless God their real names, worship the Real God. Hanniah, Mishieal and Azzeriah. Daniels Babylonian name by the way was Belshazzar. But first 3 are a good example of this, they honored the king, till the king said to disobey God, then they gave their lives

You know in Psalm 91, it says He who sets his love on me I will deliver him, I seen it today at my work place, and it applies to this scripture also, when they were thrown in the fiery furnace, and walked out alive.

@Alphacaliber This firey furnace that was heated 7 times hotter than usual because it pissed the king off that they defied him, to honor God, rather than him. This furnance, that was so hot some of his most valiant men that took up these 3, died because of the heat, when they got close. And when they came out of the fire, the smell of smoke was not on them. they were not burned. the fire managed some how to effect their ropes though because they were thrown in bound.

I would recommend getting some of the books kent Hovind recommends in his series....I have not read them, but I think they would be good.

@Alphacaliber when guys are taken in, for supposedly not paying their taxes, that are supposedly due........and the guy who is accused of this says to his accusers, "look, show me law where it says to pay it, and I will pay it....but if you can not show me the law, where it says to pay it, I am not going to pay it"....the guy did not pay it. I think this the key question, what exactly is the law, that requires this?

The truth is Hugh Ross is an atheist. He says that god is in a state of rest when referring to the 7th "day". This just shows how he views god as a Cause not a creator. It's so sad all of those that will seek after a lie to try and fulfill the flesh. I pray for Kent hovind that he has peace in all of this and will not forget what the bible says when confronted with these liars.
