Thats because Sudanese woman have ALWAYS been more free than MOST muslim woman have ! THIS WOULD NEVER EVER HAPPEN IN Saudi ! And yes before you ask I am a muslim !
Thanks waranle, yes indeed muslim women do sing and dance , our mothers, sisters , cousins ETC, our culture of being africans is strongly related to our drums and dance, AND WE LOVE IT

I think it's great. Her voice is soulful and clear. I love the tones of this voice, but the music sometimes is overly powerful. As a Muslim, I never really saw muslim women singing. I love it. I have always listened to African drum music for dancing and south african singing, but this is my first look into east african music. I'm determined to find the best and make it part of my attentive listening.
mmm, very interesting. so where u born muslim or you converted later in life?
i myself am southern african. i discovered nada on youtube and i have a little of an obsession you might say. like the clothes she wears, the make-up, and the rumors of extramarital affairs with rich men..lol. its like a soap opera.
Sounds intriguing, but I'm just listening to the scales and how she sings. I try to stay out of people's business;)
Let me clarify that I have seen Muslim women sing, but not so much in a public forum or in Islamic garb. I sing spiritual songs myself like India Arie and know lots of sister who rap and do poetry.
I was born a Muslim, to answer your question.
I hear South Africans sing for everything. Is that true? Can you show me any interesting links?
Muslim women do sing, kenyan muslim, somalian and ethiopian muslim women do sing, you probably have seen alot Wahabi arab men with skirts who sing, and think all muslim women are not "allowed to sing" please ok, we are muslims but not arabs
am sorry icant help but noticeing u saying sudaness ppl did not intermarry eithere u r ignoring history or just dont beliving the true, ok first of all there was only blacks in africa no arabs or whites, i think we all know that, for example in uganda there are ppl who look like the so called arabs in sudan but they r not they r arabs from yemen and qater who married into uganda and tanazaia i know that cus my ugandian husband i theought he was sudaness when i met him ,thinkitover
Iknow sudanese threw this beautiful woman I never see like this great woman she is top in singing > she is top in talking when I hear her I feel vry happy good luck to you and more progress
why is it that every sudanese video there is always an idoit insulting sudanese and claming that sudan is not arab? excuse me but who r u to decide who is wat? everyone knows that sudan is an arabic/african country JUST like egypt and moroco and all the north african countries.
we sudanese didnt claim that we are arab, these days there is nothing to be proud about as arabic.
The only honour of arab is that the Holy Quran is in arabic language, and we share that with them al7md li allahi. the holly profit Mohammed(PBUH)is arabic but he says there is no superiority for arabic over non arabic except by ALTAGWA.
"we didnt ask for that, but we have got lucky to be sudanese african"
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
nice song with a catchy beat, and i wonder who puts on her make-up. can anybody translate the lyrics?
on a separate note, i really dont see anything arabic in sudanese people except for the language. yeah there's been some intermarriage, but they're gonna need a whole lotta more arabs in sudan to change their skin tone.
chick1234 any country where arabic is the native language, is an arab country despite their skin color. some sudani people are dark some are light.ignorant racist arabs are a big problem
wrong, because a nation speaks arabic as a native language does not make it an arab country. Because everybody in Zimbabwe speaks English neither makes us an English country nor makes its people English (God forbid!).
sudanese people did not intermarry, they are original arab tribes, we are not racist or ignorant there are light skinned and dark skinned people we treat everyone the same, and we never forget we are african!!!
Hababek 10X10 once more ya bent Al Sudan. I am as an Egyptian Nubian from other half of our Wady Al Neel, find in your songs a good reflection to our Nubian/Sudanese traditions & customs. I hope that one day we will see here in our Washington DC area in USA. Greeting from Ibn al Neel Wa al Nuba. Abu Aya ( from Nubian Benevolence Association NBA)
i think nada is agret singer and she has a great voice and she can capture the whole stage to hersef which is not so many singes would able to do but perssonally i think she is very rude very vulger and she would die for money
happy to sudanese girl..love it

i should have clarified, im southern african, from zimbabwe. we sing a lot usually if there's an occasion, but not just for everything lol.
personally id say the best singer to come out of zim is mtukudzi. you can find him on youtube. aside from him, i usually listen to s. african music.
chichiq1234 3 years ago
thanks for the info on mtukudzi. I love it already.
