I think it's great. Her voice is soulful and clear. I love the tones of this voice, but the music sometimes is overly powerful. As a Muslim, I never really saw muslim women singing. I love it. I have always listened to African drum music for dancing and south african singing, but this is my first look into east african music. I'm determined to find the best and make it part of my attentive listening.

Let me clarify that I have seen Muslim women sing, but not so much in a public forum or in Islamic garb. I sing spiritual songs myself like India Arie and know lots of sister who rap and do poetry.

i should have clarified, im southern african, from zimbabwe. we sing a lot usually if there's an occasion, but not just for everything lol.

personally id say the best singer to come out of zim is mtukudzi. you can find him on youtube. aside from him, i usually listen to s. african music.

we sudanese didnt claim that we are arab, these days there is nothing to be proud about as arabic.

The only honour of arab is that the Holy Quran is in arabic language, and we share that with them al7md li allahi. the holly profit Mohammed(PBUH)is arabic but he says there is no superiority for arabic over non arabic except by ALTAGWA.
