Just curious, obviously the rail line was there before that street, but why build a street over the rail line? Last time I saw anything even close to that was in my home town of Northam, Western Australia. Back in the 30s, there was pretty much a rail yard down the middle of town. One spur line went straight through a hardware store's yard, into the bowels of a flour mill. Now, at much expense, all freight enters and leaves by road train
min 4:40 long live the no left turn signals, I work for the museum that now owns the ones in your video and we just got the one all wired up and running how ever I see it needs to be a tad brighter this video helps thank you.
wow its been a while since i saw them tracks, i remember i use to grab the ladder on the last part of the train and let it pull me down the street on my bike
We still have a short stretch in New Albany on the former Monon but sadly nothing runs on it except the local to the Pillsbury plant on weekdays. It runs about 7 blocks down 15th Street and is currently being repaved.
At 3:53, imagine driving down the street and seeing that coming at you! Talk about sharing the road, very cool though, here in Michigan we don't have any street running like that. The closest thing we have to street running is in Monroe where the NS line runs between the sidewalk and the road, I have heard talks about it being removed but I don't know how acurate this is. 5 stars BTW.
That is an awesome video- Seriously, how cool is that to look out your frontroom window and see a freight train (or any train for that matter) comming down your street... It's not like it's going to derail or anything it's going what- about 30 MPH, if even that?
I remember this track when i was a little kid.. I always thought we were going to get hit by the train when it was coming down then street.

When me and my uncle did that before the tracks got torn up, we would wait at International Bakery until we herd a locomotive horn.

"When me and my uncle"? Miss elementary school, trains?
Or is 46 your IQ?
Starting at :45, what is the blinking light?
Oh, now we see the light and (NO LEFT TURN) lamp. Wish you had shown the signals turn on and turn off.
Video near grade crossings to capture horn and crossing signal activations and bells and lights and also any mishaps.
Sorry that they took up the track.

Wasn't the lead locomotive on the last train a former southern railroad locomotive?

One of the many reasons the railroad relocated the mainline, grade crossing and pedestrian accidents.
