his point is that (CMYK+RGB)>CMYK. That's mathematically true, by definition increases the gamut. Of course CMYK+burrito increase the gamut too--I'm not sure if in a raw physics sense you can just reflect RGB. But five years later a huge percentage of the high end presses use more than 4 colors. Sure, it's not really penetrating the continuous tone presses yet--it's most evident on inkjet presses, which are getting high speed and mainstream. A good wide format machine is 12 colors.
cmyk wasnt invented. it was discovered. This guy is a dick. We can all get lovely orange from the fluoro colours. Get a 5 col press or get a good printer who knows how to put paper thru a press in register. Also...half tones are better than the graphic designers who design things
These are all very pretty colours, but where will this guy be when I tell my clients the cost of a 7 colour offset print job?

@cruddo1002 We are printing fabulous 4 color work with a 25 year old workhorse R.Z. Its the CTP. plates that does it for us.
