I dunno why anyone would think it'd be over for Kid if it went to the ground. His whole family is world class freestyle catch wrestlers, olympic caliber. He could definitely hold his own, if not be in control on the ground. He just has to be careful of not letting his emotions/temper take over, that's when he gets sloppy.

It's more noticeable against competent strikers, like very experienced kickboxers. Kid isn't made for kickboxing, he's meant to be an MMA fighter. That's where he should stay.
