I think "Cameron Direct" has been the best thing that the Conservative Party has done so far in the run up to 2010 -- it's direct, its personal, it's honest. What do you plan to do about prisons? Increase the number of staff? Privatization would lead to higher taxes in the long run (due to profit) and likely lower wages for staff with less government control would likely lead to higher drug usage. Im a 19 Year old law university student and ive been watching the Conservative campaign and so far ive been nothing but impressed.

What an excellent fresh and exciting idea "Cameron Direct" is, something i wish all MP's did. However David Cameron is being extremely brave and tackling real issues and real people head on, not stuck in an office all day and not hiding behind a TV screen.

Please reform this country and continue in this manner!

the rich provide the poor with jobs. the 40% tax bracket is too high. people who pay this are the biggest employers in the uk, the ones that drive the economy. Also, labour have shafted the poor going to uni as the fees are too high for a lot of poorer people.

All billionaires pay a lower percentage of tax then the average worker. That 40% you are referring to is related to a wage; not profits of hedge fund owners. Thus people who pay the 40% tax bracket are generally not employers at all but highly skilled workers such as doctors. The notion that the wealthy give us jobs is false consciousness, the reality is that the workers produce the value and hence it is the workers who make the truly rich, rich.
