Hey Nat... can you redo this video?? The quality isnt as good as your videos now... I do roller derby and would love to wear my hair like this for an appearance!!! thanks love!
if you dont want to use rollers.you could like buy this thing its called chingon at sally beauty supply.and just cut it in half.and they come in 3 hair colors.
thank you so much. i just watched another video, but the girl had really long hair, so seeing it done with short hair is much easier for me to understand how to do my own hair (since it is short) thanks!
I have medium length hair. I love victory rolls, but nI can't seem to get them right. Would the roller trick work on my hair too? I have longer layers in the back and shorter ones that frame my face. I try to do the rolls and they always fall apart or they just wont roll right. I love the way it looks when they are done right. Can someone give me some pointers?! PLEASE!!!
I enjoyed watching your vid on 40s/50s. hairstyles compaired to some others I have seen!
I want to see more ppl wearing this type of hairstyle..many classics never die! and you did a great job, in the amount of time you gave yourself to do it in!..
AND I am glad to see ppl say how beautiful you are! because you ARE!! so keep it up! and post some more vids..you seem to be a very creative person! so play around with some more classic styles that would be cool and of course educational! LOL TY
I am going to a party of the 20th Centry Decades where you dance as you faveorite decade. My friend is doing 50's so I'm doing her hair like this. THANKS SO MUCH! LIFE SAVER!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
man you totally messed up, but then againg its a bitch to make them perfect. I usually use a curling iron w/ hairspray to make the curl stay rolled, then pin it in.
I have wanted to know how in the hell to get my hair to stay in those curls forever, you're like my new hair hero, at the risk of sounding creepy. I heart you. Love the blue streaks.
I tried this but it isn't as easy as it looks. I have kinda curly hair and ended up with a froball (my husband's reference) I was wondering would it be easier if I tried this with wet hair ?
That's great, I'm going to a dvd filming of a rockabilly band soon, this look is perfect for it, but I'll try to take out the foam rolls, I'm pretty sure I'll be shaking my head and jumping around heh. Thanks for the tips Nat :)
OMG! That would be awesome! what kind of makeup are you going to do? pinup? that would be HOT! - just tease and use hair product instead of the rollers
You don't need a reason, girl!! Just sport it! I do victory rolls quite often. A couple months ago I just wore them out to dinner to Applebee's with my husband. Nothing fancy I just had to show off the 'do. ;) I agree it's SUCH a fun hairstyle and I get tons of compliments on it always. My sister hates them though. She calls them handlebars. lol. She knows nothing about style. Keep it up!! I love it!
I hear ya! I have just figured out how to do with without the rollers so maybe I'll do another tutorial on it :) I really just might wear them to work one day...
handlebars! hahaha good one (subscribe if you aren't already!)
you just saved my life....I am working tonight and just got told I need 50's hair and have an hour to get ready.........your the best.....lots of not so good vids out there.....but this one rocks. xoxo
I was going to hit my local Sally's beauty supply place, thinking my dollar store foam curlers wouldn't be long enough to try this hairdo (I've got a bunch of those already). Thanks, will have to give this a try.
great vid, just wish i could figure out how to do the fringe. i can manage to roll it up but when i stick the pins in they have no affect whatsoever and the hair flops down! how do you get the pins to keep the fringe in place properly??
Hey thanks for your instruction it has been very helpful!! Love the streak in your hair so cute. I had forgotten to check my mail and I didn't see you had made the new video until now Thanks a bunch!! I hadn't thought of using the rollers my hair isn't as thick as it used to be so the rollers helped alot =)
It is very easy and I'm going to try and work on figuring out how to do it without curlers and by just teasing. If I can figure it out I'll post it for you :)
That's such a great idea about using the foam part of those rollers. I spent all weekend looking for rolls to put up my hair like to no avail, when I had those foam rollers in my bedroom all along!
hahaha I know...I watched a video of someone doing it and she used something else but then I looked down in a drawer and I saw those and viola - the rest is on here :)
hmmm...maybe try it with a thinner curler that way you can cover the roller easier than if it were larger...or tease the roots a bit to give it a fuller look...
I tried to do my hair... bought all the same supplies (pink foam rollers etc) but I can't seem to get my hair to stay, ( my hair is really long... almost to my waist) Do you have any suggestions to help??????
I would say try to put more product in your hair to stiffen it up. I know it's a pain...get LOADS of bobby pins...you might have to put bobby pins in in the dozens b/c of your thickness. I would think it would work easier with thick hair, but it might also depend on where you are pinning it.
Very good. Thanks for the vid! I've been looking all over and I couldn't find a dam thing. Some other chickies "say" they know how, but they don't know @#$%!!! I know this was just a "quickie" get the idea film and you did just that. And once again, THANKX!!!
but of course! as you can see from previous posts there have been some discussion going on regarding that it's sloppy - well it's a quick just an idea for us non-hair-professional-stylist!
You did a very sloppy job, you need to research more vintage hairstyles before you put up a video like this. the bangs are not Bettie Page at all. alot of your hair is sticking out and you can see all those rollers in your hair. if you need help i'm more than willing to help you correct your errors. i can put your hair on the road to vintage cuteness. hey!!!
This is the way she likes to do it! For being something you don't like, you must not have a ton of time on your hands to watch the video, and take the time to comment on it! You are rude!! This is for fun, it just sucks that people like you have to ruin the fun!
wow why was i rated low, i guess the sarcasm didnt come across, I'm all for nat and loved the video....let me try it this way, for folks who don't bother to make videos at all and put them self out there like nat does to be so rude as the person above is wrong, I was asking that person to atleast put themself out there too...did that make more sense for you??

You did a very sloppy job of being a decent person. WHY THE FUCK do people come on here to criticize and be rude? If you can't say anything nice why SAY IT AT ALL? Seriously... the road to vintage cuteness? No thanks, you ass.

Using some sort of hair wax or pomade will help with keeping the hair in place so there isn't and fly aways! It also makes it look more put together.
