  • My preschool teacher would always introduce this video dress up as dragon (or maybe it was an anteater). She (or maybe it was he) would tell everybody that as someone who always wanted to act. I assume she was playing a he because well... (heres the scary part) the drgaon claimed to have been the one playing dragoon in the video! Imagine that if you can.

  • This was made by the American Cancer Society in 1964.

( look at the ending credits)

I saw this at my school when I was in the 5th grade in spring of 1966.

  • This is why I'm a blue dragon with an ice breath instead...

  • should i request my health teacher to show this video?

  • this is great.... This is the first film I ever saw, my mom and dad were teachers and they had this on 16 mm film, must have been 4 years old and it was likely around 1974...they used to project this movie on my bedroom wall to get me to go to sleep..LOL....major props for posting up this movie

  • correction- I was a 4 year old kid when I would see this...so...whoa..this is the first time I have actually seen this cartoon in more than 30 yrs..LOL, this is awesome

  • lol i hope you weren't too damaged by biased propaganda like this at such a young age (damaged, as in having an overly negative or possibly violent attitude towards it).

  • maan hes the greatest that Dragoon he makes me swoOon! YaaAAA...give me a puff of that wOnderful stufffff.....

  • I saw this "commercial" (more like a public service information format) watching the only english channel on the tv in Coco Solo, Canal Zone (Panama Canal, not Suez, por favor). Had to be 69-77 time frame.SCN Southern Command Network. AFRTS American Forces Radio and Television Services. Brings back memories of slow days where being bored was just the state you wanted to achieve. Only downers were sandfleas, mosquitoes, and parents.

  • Where did you get this video?

  • some 2$ dvd :)

  • What DVD was it? I do collect public domain cartoon DVDs.

  • I have this. It's in Sci-Fi : The Greatest Sci-Fi Cartoons of All Time. You can borrow it at the library for free.

  • Dragoon....ha I used to watch this as a kid in the Panama Canal Zone on SCN.

  • Im so glad this is on here... I used to watch it all the time back when I was a kid and in the hospital
