No. It will just change the value of some string. This only works client side, stuff like money, energy, credits ect. is stored server side, and cannot be changed by an user unless theres a major flaw in the pages script.

he hasn't hacked it, he's used a script debugger such as Greasemonkey or firebug to change the text on screen, its very simple.

I've used this on several occasions to convince people something reads something that it doesn't. The thing is once you refresh the page the text reverts back to the original format and the text is only temporarily changed on your monitor, it doesn't affect the source.
