First of all we cannot blame the euthinasia techs we have to point the finger directly at the owners for doing this to their dogs, the techs end the suffering not cause it so don't blame the people who at least give them a painless peaceful death and some love they didn't want to do this job..and they probably go home at night and cry their eyes out from all of this so don't blame them..blame the owners!

OMG! These were perfectly viable healthy and friendly dogs! The red one looks very similar to one I adopted from a high kill shelter. The rationalization this vet made that she "gave these dogs the only peace they had" is sickening. There's a reason that doctors refuse to do this in humans; namely it's WRONG! Imagine if they were to round up all the homeless people and give them a lethal injection because they're costly! There are many who would give these beautiful dogs a home. What a waste!

I work in an animal shelter.. she did care, but after you have to clean up irresponsible pet owners messes you get jaded after a while. We work really hard to adopt out as many dogs as possible.... we can have a good day of adopting out 4 animals, and then the next day animal control brings in 8 and then you have owners dumping their dogs at the shelter as well... how are we supposed to house that many animals?

Some state laws have changed and now are allowing animal rescue groups to rehabilitate some of the animals that were used in dog fights. Michael Vick case is an example of this.
My heart sank for this euthanasia tech I just want to hug these people and tell them I feel bad for you that you have to do this everyday I bet she goes home and cries...

One of my dogs does the same thing and she was also abused in fighting. But I got her out of the shelter before she was put down. Was hard, but I saved her.
The problem is goverment is taking funding form shelters and down sizing the staff. We for hardly nothing and it hurts us more to be the one who are pushing the poison in these animals
