I can never thank Merrill enough for bringing so much happiness to my teen years (my only escape really from a very dysfunctional family life) - all the concerts and all the times we met - Merrill was always so kind to me and my friends; it meant a lot back then and it still does today. I haven't seen you in years my friend, but you are always in my thoughts.

I only met him for the first time last year in Belgium at his Shiloh Experience and he is the kindest, dearest man that ever walks this earth, it brings me to tears even now when I think of him and how kind he was to me and all his fans that weekend - absolutely UNFORGETTABLE. Yes I flew to the other side of the world just to meet him - no regrets.
Again, I would like to thank you for making this video. His voice is beautiful and resonates with me and the images take me back in time. I feel old but then that is life. I remember when I first saw them on the Andy Williams show when I was a tot. I loved, loved Merrill (and Jay) when I was a tween.

There is just one thing I don't like very much in Merrill and all the Osmonds: they should concentrate themselves in SINGING. In most of their videos and even in today's concerts, you see musicians playing guitar, bass and drums, while the Osmonds seem to play as well. But that suggests, for an exemple, that Merrill only pretended to play bass. On the other hand, Merrill in particular is a SUPERB, virtuoso vocalist and could rival Robert Plant and all the rock n' roll guys. But, family first...

I have always loved Jay first then Merrill... Donny did not have my fascination until he did Joseph... he seemed more like a little bro and not a sexy heartthrob like the others.
Different strokes for different folks. The rising star of Donny hurt the others.
Each Osmond really does play about 10 or more instruments each. Now they sing more and play less ( except for Jay who sometimes plays drums). Now they focus more on the singing and choreography.

My dad passed away yesterday 22/12 and for the past week whilst he has been in palliative care I have found many moments of solace in this wonderful man's music. Merrill has helped me through many tough moments in the past and it was no different this time around, so I could not think of a better way to thank him than to pay tribute to him and his wonderful voice with this video.
