  • Thanks man. You saved me a $100!

  • I was able to fix my garbage disposal after watching your video. Thanks so much!

  • I got it! Just fixed my garbage disposal that had been making a humming sound. Ha-ha this makes me feel somewhat mechanically-inclined. Thank you for your video.

  • do i have to remove the garbage disposal from the sink before i do this?

  • @ediboyzee No, you can usually do it in place.

  • @TheRealTimJones ..thank you, i was able to fix our garbage disposal.!

  • Tim, I recently bought a home, and of course it passed the inspection. I wne to use the insinkerator, and, n othing. I was ready to go to Home Depot today and replace the whole thing. I just happened upon your video. II followed your advice and BAM!!! NO MORE CLOG!!!!! YOU ARE THE MAN, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!

  • You are GREAT! Thanks for letting this 50-something mom fix the disposable before the dad comes home!

  • I already did that and its still jammed. I don't see anything in it and I've used an allen key to spin it. its hard to spin and feels jammed still. I don't get it

  • dude, my wife now thinks I'm the man! thanks!

  • You're the man! Thanks. I was having problems with the water backing up into the dishwasher and draining slowly from the sink. It was pungent. Once I addressed the disposal.... no more problems. Thanks!!

  • @brianleemorrison I'm guessing it was something like corn husk fibers or such which wound around the mechanism???? I am always putting stuf in there that shouldn't go in. They say potato peels are the worst for "Clogging" but sinewy, fiberous stuff will just bind the unit up.....Hope it worked out for you (certainly after a month)But I Would love to know if I was right about the "binding" thing???? Cheers, Rat!

  • Thanks man! That got my disposal fixed in 2 seconds flat!

  • @wandadykes Glad I could help!

  • It worked, Tim! Thanks so much.

  • @martimal Glad I could help!

  • Thanks dude! I tried the reset button but didn't know about the jam buster. Fixed it in about 10 seconds and works fine now. I was seconds away from calling a plumber before I decided to look on youtube :)

  • @ostin81 Glad I could help!

  • Thanks that was really really helful. That saved me $200+

  • do all disposal have that hole for the allen wrench because I dont see on on mine. i a liltte cover piece on the bottom but its off centered. should i even bother to attempt to take it off and see if there is a hole like that? i took a look in the drain and took out a metal piece that was jammed in there but my garbage disposal would run a couple of seconds and stop and usually doesn't do anything except make a buzzing noise?

  • I had a plumber quote me $350.000 for a new disposal - parts/labor. I watched this video...It's freekin working like new.

    Thanks for the fix!

  • @mrmozer23 Glad I could help you save some money!

  • thanks for this, y fix mine thanks to you.

  • I used an L shaped Allen Wrench to unjam my disposal, the blades spin freely now but my wrench is now stuck in the hole and I cannot get it out, what did I do wrong the wrench is still stuck in there and I am not using my disposal at the moment.

  • @zully87 You likely just "cross-threaded" the wrench and got it jammed in the slot. Have you tried hitting the long part of the wrench with a hammer to break it free? You may need to use some penetrating spray to loosen the wrench from the bolt.

  • @TheRealTimJones

It worked Thank You very much, how can I avoid doing that again?

  • @zully87 Just be careful with what you put down the drain into the disposal.

  • Thanks for the easy fix! I got the disposal unit unjammed with the allen wrench, but I've still got one of the three spinning blades inside the disposal that is jammed by a piece of plastic wedged under it. Any suggestions?

  • @superg23d WITH THE POWER OFF, stick your hand down inside the disposal and you should be able to pull the plastic out from under the blade.

  • Thank you very much! I just unjammed my garbage disposal.

  • @spark20 You're welcome!

  • I can't even tell you how much your video made my day!!!! Our garbage disposal works now, thanks to you. The allen wrench did the trick! Thanks a million!

  • @lemmons278 Glad it helped!
