@meh121 lol not magnets. I used to make those in school a long time ago. Take a paperclip and bend the arms out so you have a triangle with the tips just past each other. Flex it so it's open and then you cross the tips. It takes a couple tries sometimes but when you do it right you have a mini spring. Drop it on something hard and it sets off the spring and propels itself into the air. We used to call them "grasshoppers"

i've seen somthing that works on the same principle, but it's a rubber dome instead of a wire triangle, you evert (turn inside out) the dome, then a minimum of force will trigger it to snap back to shape, if you throw it the right way, it will jump quite a bit

but basicly, your thing is just a mousetrap reduced to just the spring and the trigger, in a single piece of metal
