At 4:41 you could not find a more gorgeous man on the planet. I will always be an Adam Ant fan...Adam, I wish you all the happiness in the world. You deserve it. I am so sorry things have been so hard in the last few years...
Would someone care to tell who those people are at 4:00? I think I recognise Tony Hadley from Spandau Ballet, and the guy between him and Adam could be this Steve something who also played in Spandau and was gorgeous back then (still looks quite ok). Then I think one of the women is Belinda Carlile. Is the guy next to Adam Howard Jones? Who's the blonde woman and the other guys? Thanks
Adam Ant will always be famous in the minds of his fans, when they reflect back on the pasts. For some reason I downloaded some of his songs and I made a CD, I was driving my son home from the same high school I went to when he was my favorite musician. I put the CD in thinking my son would laugh at me, and he didn't. He told me to leave it playing. The Adam Ant of the 80's will always be cool and I know his music has withstood the test of time.
I've been stalked and it changes your life. The old life in which you are not suspicious, unafraid, is over. What must it have been like for him as he struggled with mental illness and failing stardom? Poor guy.
The Swedish research team that discovered thyroid dysregulation behind cycling bipolar disorder should recieve the Nobel. Now, several teams have discovered that the action of medications used to treat the psychiatric disorder appears to be regulation of thyroid levels, too. Watching this, consider the implications, and imagine these people are talking about a disease like diabetes...you realize how inappropriate this appears. There are musicians with personality disorders that aren't physical.
The stalker described is fascinating because her symptoms are consistent with schizophrenic delusion - she was deluded by her illness. I know as a fellow musican in Los Angeles, that musicians who are well known also have pals who are like 'secretive stalkers' or friends; they seek this overinvolvement, but their interest is like the 'jealousy' described in this segment here, behaviors suggestive of the desire by the friends in an 'entourage' to control that person's life not unlike stalkers.
Heather Graham? Yeah, THAT's real deppresing.

I keep wondering, during all his life, was he ever prescribed the correct medication? And if so, did he take it as he should have?
ak7ant 4 years ago
He did say in his book that he would skip out on his medication because he didn't like the side effects.

Yeah well, I've never had a jealous lover bake me a cake. If they did, I wouldn't EAT it.
