@theraf8100 Mildly modded GN is maybe a bigger turbo, FMIC ad a tune. The turbo 3.8 is one of the most capable engines of making big HP ever made.

11.2 off the showroom? I don't think so. I love GT-R's (One of my dream cars is an R-34) but no way a little 300hp car is gonna run 11.2 stock. A 2002 WS6 will run in high 12's stock with a great driver and that has 345hp. GT-R weighing in at about 3,400 lbs, only a scosh heavier than a WS6. No way in hell it runs an 11.2 1/4 mile stock.

bliglum you buddy obviously can't drive a verttte well, because a grand national is nowhere near as fast,. look up the stats, from 0-6, 0-100 and top speed, aa GN can't approach 200mph, and the z06 does 198mph stock, and of course the GH has no handling ability for cornering because they are just a regal in a neater package

@deathtouch100 Most races in the US are straight line, and for a reasonable amount of road. That Z06 probably takes over a mile to get there. And most grand nationals you see are not stock, and a great many of them will take a Z06 no matter who is driving it.

Supra's are not that great of cars, a stock GNX would stomp a Stock Supra, me personally i drive a 87' T-Type GN, also i drive a 88' I ROC z-28 Camaro, both stock, and can't be beat by Supra's with bolt ons, Supra's are not big time rare, a 87' GNX is, seeing as there was only 564 ever made.

And a buick GN is set up like a supra? because they are rwd, have v6's, and are turbos? GN is a great machine. You can install a 572 chevy crate engine and an art carr tranny with no mods to the car. So it DOES have more similarities with muscle, because the GN is a musclecar descent. i was at the dragway in new hampshire back in the day, i was on my 01 gsxr 750 stock running high tens, low 11s, and there was this 400 pound guy in a stock looking Quiet ass GN. He was running 10.00s with the drivers side sagging low,, lol, what a bad ride, you never know when your up against a stock 13 second gn, or a 10 flat monster sleeper with shamoo driving it, it mighta run mid nines with a smaller guy in it
