@xxLegodo1xx yes she is at first but she also plays a role especially in shippuden she even proved how much her teammates meant to her when cut her hair especially to Sasuke, but she gos under Tsunades hard training to become stronger for her team mates and to keep up with along with her medical abilities Sakura is an extremly important character among the main group and if she was just a filler she would have almost 4 episodes of her fighting Sasori ;)

I think it is because she is portrayed as the generic love interest for the naruto series, so people automatically underestimate her.

Don't get me wrong i love Sakura and agree with what your saying, i could go as far as to say she my favourite heroine in anime! her fight with Sasori blew my mind!!!

Sakura is totally my second girl favorite (Temari's first; she's soooo kickass! XDD). Towards the end of regular Naruto she isn't that bad because she starts training with Tsunade, and then in Shippuden she just owns everything. XDD
