I must say the highlight of this review has to be the trailer. But since that isn't yours I recommend you rehearse about 10 or so times and watch them so that you guys improve. At the moment your reviews are nothing but confirmation reviews that support a more experienced reviewer. And thats me being nice.

I'm definately going to see it. Not just because there are kids under the age of seven that want to see it in my house but because fiona looks kick-ass on the poster. I really dont think they could go much farther after the babies but I guess the christmas thing proved me wrong (even though it sucked).

I really only liked the first shrek, the second one was only good to most people because it had pussy-boots who was "adorable" ?

Okay, I agree to an extent. This one actually looks like they are trying to put a story together. It looks more interesting than Shrek 3. I will see it only because I saw the other three, hoping they go out with a bang. I totally agree with you guys though. WHY is everything 3d?

may i ask, does your child know what he is talking about, and he looks bored out of his skull. and before you start critisizing anything, try making a animation yourself, it aint a walk in the park, and why the hell compare pixar with dreamworks, cos pixar ONLY make 3-d movies, yet Dreamworks have kept up.

well I have made a (sort of ) animated movie. (called Dead Rain 1,2,3 if u want to look it up on here) I spent a year on it, and it was only 10 minutes long. so yeah, I know how hard they are. I LOVE animation. A huge fan of it actually. CG, and regular. I'm not sure what you meant by pixar only makes 3d movies? So far they've only made one. - UP. (and toy story 1&2 reissue if you count those). And no, your rant is fine. we like rants. rant all you like!

Yes my child does know what he is talking about. Part of the reason he was there to make his review of the this trailer, is to give a "kids point of view" and if a 10yr. old can watch a trailer like this and not really want to see the movie,.. what does that say about the movie??

The point of us doing Trailer Talk is to review the Trailer and give our thoughts on if we think the film would be worth seeing or not. I don't think any of put down Dreamworks animation. We were just pointing out how generic this film looks to be,... But all 3 of us are hoping the Shrek 4 can prove us wrong. And finaly no we don't mind the rant. You are entiled to your own opinon just as we are.

First, I'd like to say I'm sick of people comparing Dreamworks to Pixar. Yes, Pixar is wonderful, but why is it when Dreamworks wants to make sequels, they get bashed for it, and when Pixar does it, it's okay? I don't think it's fair to say they're doing it just for the money if the sequel isn't as good as the prequel.

My second point is that you're basing your opinion off a minute and a half TEASER. True, the movie could very easily suck, but let's not judge prematurely.

I loved Shrek 2. I don't have any problem with Dreamworks making sequels, as long as the sequel is worth watching. Shrek 3 was nowhere around as good as part 2. We are only reviewing the trailer here though. The movie could come out and blow us away, and it would be really nice to see that, but for right now, I just don't feel as if it's going to. If Toy Story 2 wasn't as good as TS1, then I wouldn't be looking forward to TS3 as much as I am. The same with s4.

@bearforce001 I agree. I think Shrek 2 was outstanding. And I don't think Shrek 3 was that great. However, I'm not letting that give me a premature determination about the new film.

That's what I mean. As I said, I think it's unfair to only say it's about the money if the sequel ISN'T good. Also, this isn't really a trailer, it's a teaser. Trailers are usually more than 2 minutes long, so we really don't know enough about the movie to give an honest review.

yeah, that's what Trailer Talk is. We watch the trailer, or the 'teaser' and talk about if it was good or not, and if it is something, based off what we just saw, we want to go see. What we watched on S4 so far doesn't look all that good. The first teaser I saw of Avatar didn't look all that great either, and look how that turned out. (those we reviewed the 'trailer') I really liked Shrek, and I'd love to see him come back, but so far this just doesn't look like it's going to be it.

@bearforce001 Yeah, that's the mistake people make. I've made that same mistake. I thought Shrek 2 was so great that I was certain Shrek 3 would be even better. Now I try not to do that anymore. I kind of let my expectations float in the air until I see the movie. I try not to convince myself that the movie will be good or bad based on the prequels. I don't think that's fair.

I certainly hope Shrek 4 will be good. I'd love to see all the people saying it'll be crap eat their words.

i was the same with Avatar. EVERYONE said it was going to be bad based on the trailer, but I kept to my guns, and said it was going to be awesome. And not only did it turn out awesome (at least for me anyway) it is the biggest movie of all time ! Lol. A lot of people are eating their words over that one now...love it!
