eyedostuff. the reason classics only burn one tire is because its a limited slip rear end. meaning one tire starts to spin the other takes place. if you want both to spin you need positraction rear end. means both spin at the same time. and siggerner88 ford 9 inch rear end does not allways mean posi.if you want a good ratio for a v8 big block.your best bed would proablly be 4:10 posi or 4:11 posi. i like 4:10 personaly.

@EyeDoStuff well a lot of classics came with a rearend differential that only uses on drive tire, thats why only one tired will burn out. to get both to spin you would ahve to have a positrac, limited slip, or a locker rear. for street posis are prob your best bet for good performance as they allow the rear to unlock while turning and allow the inside and outside tires spin at different rates. a locker doesnt do this and is best for race only.

@EyeDoStuff the best thing you can do i say is to swap out for a ford 9 in rear. theyre bulletproof and make it easy to swap rearends out. you can unbolt the third member, slide the axles out and put in a whole new thirdmember in an hour or less. i have a locker i put in wen i race

@EyeDoStuff most all cars come with a limited slip rearend. They have clutches that grab inside the rear end to send power to both wheels but let the wheels turn at different speed around corners.With a true posi you will spin 1 wheel anytime you turn cause the inner wheel isn't able to turn slower than the outer. On older cars those clutches tend to wear out and can no longer ingage both wheels

its called nonposi back end.... not sure why the started it just glad they fixed it , 2 ways to fix 1, spider weld the back end 2 replace the back end w a posi back off a differnet car for example i have an 88 firbird i use camaro parts ....Good luck

On automatic just hold the brake down and stomp on the gas. see if your car has balls or not and if the driver is any good. lol. i havent done one in a manual, but I think you have to slightly hold down the clutch and hit the gas.

Yeah, gear drives are nice. I just don't see why you'd have one that's noisy :-\ sounds like a supercharger... false advertisement. I mean, I hate to say it but it's kinda ricey, y'know? Just the whole acting like there's more power than there is. Don't get me wrong, I see the performance upgrade, but the noisy ones don't sit well with me.

Well, it's not really for power as much as it is reliability and precision. They make noisy ones as well as silent ones. If you really just want performance, you'd get the silent ones. I just dislike the idea of pretending it's a blower, which is what the noisy ones are designed for. Heh, don't worry... I know what I'm talking about ^^
