wtf have you ever even read the books? That never happened. Frst of all Kathrine never MET elena in the books. She'd been dead since centuries ago when she exposed herself to the sunlight. She was NICE. Maybe too nice. As Elena said herself  "She was sweet but not very bright" And Damon WASNT good in the books. Not even remotely close. He was pleasant at times but he was cruel. And he left in the end. You obviously don't like the books better seeing as you've never read a single page.
