  • I think Egerton Lodge is now a retirement home. But what happened to the large building on the right? Thanks for another wonderful video. We've really enjoyed watching all of them.

  • The building on the right is Park House, built in 1740 for the Reeve family. They sold it to the Earl of Wilton, who then built Egerton Lodge. I think Park House was then used as servants' quarters - but it seems a bit grand for that. Park House was demolished in 1928 to enable construction of Wilton Road which took traffic away from the town centre.
