Sounds like the singer of Mago de Oz (I think it says it all...). Now, at least when he sings normal sounds much MUCH better. It's just the colour of this voice in high pitch that I dont like. Of course didnt mean to offend anyone who likes this :-). And yes, his performances -screams aside- are really impressive.

Any note above the vocal break is sung in "head voice"... falsetto is just a term for when head voice is airy (meaning the vocal folds are letting too much air through). If a note can be sung in "falsetto", it can also be sung in a full-sounding head voice with a bit of practice. Adam does both.

idk. I disagree on the way you describe falsetto, simply because I can (badly) reach those notes in falsetto. But not in full. To me full voice is actually a mixture of chest and head. Falsetto is very weak sounding in comparison to a persons normal singing voice. For example a person say..... robert plant can hit the same high note in full or falsetto, depending on how he wants the delivery to sound. Look up 4 octave wonders if you wanna kinda understand me. I may be wrong :(

You have to learn full head voice, it's not something that comes naturally to most, but anyone can do it with the right training. It is physically impossible to use chest voice in that range, but by using specific resonance, vowels and adducting the vocal folds singers can create a convincing illusion of "chest voice" in extreme high ranges.

There is also a range above head voice called the "whistle register". Youtube the name "Adam Lopez" to see what I'm talking about. ;)

I've always thought of falsetto as after the "break" and that very few people can sing above 4 octaves without it. Therefore learning to just seems totally alien to me. Also... I listened to born to be wild, at the end finale,you can almost hear the volume/power loss when he goes high. Thats what makes me say falsetto. Cheers!

I totally understand your confusion about falsetto, as it is commonly misunderstood. (Even American Idol judges use the term wrong!) Singing teachers such as Robert Lunte, Jaime Vendera, Ken Tamplin, Brett Manning, Jesse Nemitz and many others can teach how to achieve this full head voice sound, so if you don't believe me you can Google their names. :)
