  • That song is too good for T.O.T.P.

  • De las mejores canciones de los Level 42. Bravo Mark

  • They fade out on the best fucking bit!!! RIP Alan Murphy... a legend.

  • They fade out on the best fucking bit!!!

  • Much missed Alan Murphy

  • they trample all over most other british bands of their era in terms of out and out musicianship

  • AWESOME!!!

  • Brilliant! Brilliant! Funk, rock and pop all in one tune. Who'd have thought? It's criminal they don't get the recognition they so richly deserve.

  • That woman at 3:14 looks like the late Paula Yates.

  • @ashleyw34m It wasn't Paula Yates.

  • r.i.p.Alan miss ya

  • I'm not a big L42 fan but I did buy the Staring At The Sun album on vinyl back in the late 80s. Good song, really uplifting.

  • CHR15GR - you're correct - I remember taping the radio while I was watching it! Happy days ....

  • Can't beat abit of the totp achieve to put you right back into the atmosphere of the artist and year!! This being summer 1988,brilliant song, brilliant band,One, if not the One of Level 42 best songs!!! Great post!!! Benja :-)

  • Great song , Level 42 at a very rocky moment . Love this album.

  • Just discovered this and got the album on order from Amazon. But Rocky?....don't know about the new drummer - I'm not very good with drums - but their new guitarist is way better than the original. Course no-one knew that Murph would tragically not be with them for long. But this piece is a masterpiece.

  • @trossachs2003 - The Drummer here is Gary Husband, he joined Level 42 in 1988 and is still Drumming for Mark King in his other incarnations of Level 42 to this Day.

  • What a great song, one of my favourite Level 42 tunes

  • If I remember correctly, this was the first TOTP's tune ever to be broadcast on TV and Radio at the same time. Please correct me if I am wrong.

  • @CHR15GR if it was, chose a bloody good song for it !

  • @CHR15GR Correct - the very first TOTP simulcast on 01/09/88, and this opened the show .

  • Wow - possibly their best playback performance ever! Nice one mate, thanks again :)
