@1992Cameron basically, it "squashes" the sound of the bass. you can't really hear it well because of the way it is recorded and the way that he plays, but basically, the quiet parts become louder and the loud parts are limited, so that the bass produces a more "even" sound.
i got a better understanding of how to use the pedal from this video. as far as reviews go the audio does no justice to the pedal. i've tried it out at GC before and it sounds great.
Unreal that they would have such awful sound and so little about tube benefits. This actually makes me think less of the company. Dear MB: take you tube seriously.
regarding reviews, seems to be a very good compressor, but this video doesnt help to sell them..... extremely bad sound quality, he doesnt demonstrate how good it can sound actually, instead spends a lot time to show the most extreme (=shit) settings...........toooooo much blah blah blah ......... and if I hear these english fu@@ers say : Kooumpruesoooureee ........... Madre Mia !!
Hmm... after months of dogging around for a decent compressor for my bass. One that doesn't kill the tone/dynamics, has plenty of flexibility of the settings, and isn't un-godly expensive... I think I may have finally found what I've been looking for. About twice what I was hoping to spend on a stomp box. But, if it does its job well enough, I'll have no regrets.
