Well if anyone taught me how to play the guitar it would be a man called Cesar Diaz. He played for Bob Dylan. He invented many amplifier provisions as well as reeds that helped Steve Ray Vaughn who he helped teach to play. He repaired one guys guitar when it had no problems time and time again.. Lenny!.. Dire straights you are wonderful and this song is played with no pics.. No strumming with plastic Knopfler is playing this with his fingers. No tremolo bar.. That is incredible..

mark is more my style of player (add sonny landreth) than eric, but i am learning to respect and appreciate eric's body of work by the day. not a comparison by any means, each holds their own and eric blows my mind just as much. watch eric fall in love with just being the rhythm player at 7:42 backing mark up and digging on the bass player.
