The good thing about this band is that the messages they put in appeal to both those that are Christian, and those that aren't. They accept everyone for who they are, which is what religion is supposed to be about. They just get it.

I recently saw these guys last year in November. Simply was the best concert I've ever been to. CYE has pulled me through some very dark times in my life. Recently one of my best friends father...committed suicide..I asked Shane to pray with me after the show. And maybe give us some peace of mind. I'll never forget the experienced I shared with my best friends , and the Shane , Sonny , Brett , and Tim (CYE). Thank you so much for making music that was simply to heal your listeners.

This band is amazing, period. Whatever drives them to create the music they make shouldn't take away from their talent or their message. I'm not religious, I'm not straight edge, I don't take hardline views on anything, but I do see the value of positivity. Just because I don't believe in god or christ doesn't mean I can't appreciate the wisdom in the gospels, or the poetry of the quran, or the intensity of this song and this band. Stop passing judgement on one another and focus on improving.
