  • A mistake by me : inthis footage is Simon King hiimself who is narrating.

  • These are the 3 cheetah brothers living in the well-known, Lewa Wildlife Conservancy area (Kenya). Footage by Simon King for the BBC. (Big Cat Diary/Week/Live). Commentary by Sir D. Attenbourough

  • @armidalicorne A mistake by me, sorry : It's Simon king himself who is the narrator. It's a little piece of footage from Simon's movie about the two little cheetah orphans he hand reared. in 2003.

  • if a cheetah is ganna kill a zebra it should always attack on its side

  • Are these Honey's 3 boys from Big Cat Diary? I recall reading that they'd taken a liking to zebra.

  • @InfernoRodan

hey! Nope - these are not Honeys sons. Honeys sons live in the Masai Mara. This is in Lewa - northern Kenya. You can also see these same 3 cats hunting an ostrich in the BBC series - Life :)

  • 0:54 those are def Hyenas

  • cheeath run max 42 - 58 mph (67 - 94 km/h)

    legend (70 mph) 110 km/h

    thomson gazelle run max 40 mph (64 km/h) (

    legend 50 mph (80 km/h)

    lion run 25 - 35 mph ( 40 - 56 km/h), legend 50 mph (80 km/h)

  • coalitions help male cheetahs to hunt more successfully. cheetahs are awesome!

  • Male cheetahs rarely if ever hunt with their sisters unless they both are still with their Mother. Coalitions are groups of males that will usually stay together for life. Females go solo or they're with their cubs. The cubs stick around for about 18 months.

  • and they didnt ''get smarter''. Cheetahs have been living like this for millions of years!

  • I think I saw a hyena in the background. Did the cheetahs finish their meal or was it stolen?

  • yeah I saw that too! But it looked like painted dogs rather then hyenas! It looked like painted dogs ears to me!

I dunno if the meal was stolen! The documentary didnt show!

Im not sure if painted dogs could steal from 3 tough cheetahs like that. + Ive never seen painted dogs stealing from cheetahs!

    But hyenas could...

  • @105km the animals in the background are other zebras

  • Nice video, but it seems to me that zebra was not a fully grown one, the film is not complete and we can't see how they really kill it. But great video. Sorry for my English

  • very nice! I love cheetahs, they're definitely my favorite animal. first video on youtube i've seen of a coalition taking down a zebra (even if technically only one took it down ;D). thanks for sharing. ^.^

  • hey, thank Simon King for filming this!

Im just exploitung his work illegaly xD

  • favorited; this video is amazing.

  • cheetas are very fast, but they are so small that it's very dangerous for them to kill a large animal like a zebra or a wildebeest

  • Only lions can hunt full grown zebra and wildebeest solo

  • that what you call evolution, they just got smarter. stay in a group and you can get bigger animal, alone you only get small game.

  • so? Small game is enough for 1, but not for 3...

They live in a coalition rather becous its easyer to defend territory...

  • Awesome. I love Cheetah's so much!

  • i never saw one cheeta taking down one zebra before! nice!

  • yeah, male coalitions can take down much larger prey then a single cheetah! And they often hunt during night!

  • nice! ;D

  • Your a cheetah-fan? So am I!
