Animation is not a genre guys. It is a medium. I watch a ton of animated movies and I love stuff from the The Lion King to Elfen Lied. It is only an American stereotype that causes us to believe that animation means it is for children.

There is, you can find it on Amazon. I actually managed to find it at my Library. The second book is much harder to find, though, took me a while to get a copy and when I did, it was not in the best condition. But still readable, so I'm fine.

Animation is meant to show something that cannot be shown on fim, or would not be best portrayed on film. Felidae is a deep, philosophical, dark and brutal murder story with complex characters and backgrounds.

Not by any means shoud anyone ever discribe this as a cartoon. A cartoon is meant to be humourous, this is not.

I hate that animation is automatically thought to be for kids, when that's not always the case. If you want to understand this movie better, I sugest you read the book.

@GoaGreena This is like the falling scene at the end of 'Heckling Hare': they break the rules to get an effect.

This isn't a toony animation, it's grimly realistic, stilted, creepily laid out, and has a great deal of uncanny valley that neither live action nor CGI could ever get. It fits PERFECTLY with a story about sex, drugs, evil cults and medical atrocities. ^^

I disagree. My mom is 40, she watches cartoons like this. Cartoons don't have to be humorous. I think this is a amazing story plot. Sure, a little gory at times. But yes, this is meant for older people. It's still a pretty darn great cartoon.

No, I meant the term Cartoon reffers to something generally humourous. This is an animation, and though cartoons are animated as well, this is something I wouldn't consider "cartoony" at all. But the term cartoon, to me, is not correct when reffering to this movie. This is an animated film, not a cartoon. (in my opinion of course)
