meh, i cant get into this guys voice. the way he emphasizes the end of some of his notes to the point he's almost squeeking, it doesn't really sound right. he holds the notes well. not anywhere near as good as roy khan, but still he's a decent singer at least.

as for the music, very good. the guitar melodies haven't progressed much since then, which is somewhat lovable as it goes to show kamelot were great musically since the beginning.

Kamelot were gnarly back then! Then they became too obsessed with gothic themes and darkness, lol. They were awesome till Ghost Opera at least.. But I can't forget this album.. Musically it totally matches the name of the band.

I definitely don't see what's wrong with this guy. In fact, despite Khan being a technically more skilled vocalist, I enjoy this guy's style more. He reminds me of a lot of 80's power metal like "Keeper"-era Helloween, Gamma Ray's debut, and early Fates Warning.

You can definitely tell the sound difference between the old albums and the newer ones. I like how over the years Kamelot started as a power metal band to something that can't be defined as a sole genre anymore.

i think khan has better techniques than mark. and a better voice. I'm not saying that mark is bad or anything, but... for somehow, it seams to me like he often tries to(sorry if i write things wrong here, i'm not english) rush trough his whole vocal specter. and sometimes that makes a bit mess-upp.

and btw, it's an overall cool song with awesome guitar play, as always when Thomas youngblood is involved

It really has that "new band" feel to it (it's forgivable, because they were a new band at this point). Mark would sound better in a different genre. He's not a terrible singer, he is singing the wrong thing. Maybe something with a more pure progressive or classic rock style.
