Well this is interesting... I just came to this after watching a video of Elbow performing it live with the BBC Orchestra. You know, with all sorts of extra stuff and a more grand tone to it. This however, does the exact opposite and strips it to its bare bones. The fact that I love both versions shows that not only are Snow Patrol and Elbow wonderfully talented, but it also shows that the song is masterfully written.
