I got this phone for 1,5 years now, but it sucks after all those use. Touchscreen types different lettres when you type on the letter you want, etc...

They both have exactly the same capactive touch screen, so there's no need to press on the Renoir, just touch, because it detects the electricty that flows through the skin. You obviously pressed to hard, though, the renoir could do with a better CPU like the iPhone.

There must be something wrong with yours or the one you tried. The lg renoir is very sensitive to touch. Perhaps the sticker was left on. Although I left mine on and it was fine.

I've had the LG Renoir, and nothing to complain about except i can't get the smile shot working. Thats probs my fault, but don't believe the stupid reviews, the battery life is good for a phone like this, lasting 2 days on full bar

Good choice, go with the Nokia 5800 instead. You get smartphone capabilities wheres the LG is stuck with java apps.

I brought the Renoir 2 days ago, and after about 3 hours the speaker packed it in, Very low volume and crackling and such, The shop replaced it no questions asked! Other then this little issue, I love this phone. I do have a question that I hope someone can answer for me... Is this phone capable of doing the same trick things as the iphone?? like the ZIPPO LIGHTER, BEER,POPCORN,BIKINI GIRL and such??

No it isn't capable of that stuff. The LG Renoir is not a smartphone like the iPhone is and therefore is only limited to java applications.

yep get a renoir been lookin for days for a decent phone was gonna go for the sony c905 but to many report of the headset breaking plus it supports wi fi my choice is with lifes good.

If it is Vodafone Branded ( at the top of the phone itself) GpS mapping is not available. I found it in Small print at the Renoirs Microsite download brochure.

The LG Renoir phone would be even better if it were in different colours eg just white or black. Hope LG will relieve the monotony in the future... Nevertheless the phone is undoubtedly great!

Yep, comes with a stylus, although you don't really need it apart from if you're using handwriting recognition for text entry, plus there's no where on the phone to store it. Renoir, is a better model than the Cookie
