  • wish they still made music like this today!

  • The Reocidings that used Paul Yandel were mostly radio shows there are a few albums they done live Paul played on all of the live shows, Look up Love thy neighbor, it is an Opry like show Paul Yandel in a yellow shirt playing a red gretsch Ira on Mandolin,Charlie had his left hand injured in the 80's he said he was helping a friend on a motor home the canopy had a spring it severly cut Charlies hand,if you see him with a guitar he only bars it,it is tuned to E chord,He told me this also.

  • Have had email from Packigten, and still respect his ideas, but still hear Paul Yandell On guitar. As for Wanda jackson, Pakinten check out the most famous session guitar player in the last 30/40 years Grady Martin, and come back and argue your case, and besides you stated that Paul Yandell had only recorded on Louvin's live recording's, and just what do these intail.

  • @engraver41 Send me an e Mail address I STILL have the original e mails from Charlie in 2004 I ended up meeting him in person, ALL Louvin recordings used were Chet Atkins ,EXCEPT the live ones and radio broadcast which were Paul Yandell until mid 1958 then it is was Jimmy Capps. Charlie told me this himself in the first e mails I ever got from him. Paul ended up playing for jerry Reed there are videos on YT with him on Porter Wagoner show best wishes

  • Paul Yandel, is the super Musician like Scotty Moore , always there but does not interrupt the singer, bless God for them.

  • R.I.P. Charlie....

  • I was fortunate enough to get to spend an entire day with Charlie Louvin He told me this was a true story his little girl friend moved away when He was very young,He wrote this about it. tragic Songs of Life was Cut in 1955 according to Charlie I thought it was later but I guess the man should know:).Beautiful guitar by Chet Atkins,I thought it was Paul Yandell but Charlei told me it was Chet:)

  • @packingten Hello packingten, while there is no doubt you have had conversations with the late Charlie.

The question here is who is playing the three string simeltanious solo. While there is absolutely Chet could do this and actually would add a little more at the end of solo. Being a Chet style picker, this does not sound like Chet with a gretsch, and Chet did no work for Capitol, he was strictly Rca until much later years. I,m going with you on your first choice of Paul Yandell, ..
