I saw this race when i was a kid. Cool car, even if it was getting lapped by the 956s. Used to have the die cast model too.

Porsche had problems with the frames on these vehicles. 1 000 000 Porsches were recalled for cracked frames.

@LordQbak. Quite right, mate, but never mind! What a fantabulous 924! The most insulted, but BEST Porsche to this day . There has never been an equal to it, bearing all things and situations in mind. (without which, as we all know, Porsche would pretty much have no longer existed )!

@henshalldood rx7's had a killer body kit like that too but most were GTU, there were some GTOs....this 924 was GTO which meant it had to compete against the BMW M1s and Porsche 911 Carrera RSRs. I think the Mercury Capri is actually closer stat-wise.

I had a 1986 944 Turbo and I've been saving up money to get a body kit like that. Until my Porsche got wrecked by a drunk driver.
