I had no success at all; until one night I was sitting in bed reading a book and who walks right through the wall but my friend, the spirit of my friend! And she said Im going to make you a very famous person in singing country music. she got out on the stage and she started to sing and right in the middle of where she really needed the power! And her spirit-friend tapped her on the shoulder and started to sing for her. She said, Her voice went through me, the power. Deut 18: 10-12
Rita McNeil from Nova Scotia Canada has a song out called the working man,its song about coal miners. And the coal miners are also singing the song with Rita McNeil.
I am also a life time elvis fan, and like loretta lyn they both sang from there heart due to humble begining, those entertainers are gone..thank god for you tube
she is really really good. i love country music and listen mostly to loretta lynn and crystal gayle. and i have just found out about 2 years ago that i am realted to them my grandfather is there cousin!!
She still has IT and she is still the "Queen Of Country Music." We are so lucky to still have Loretta out there playing for us all. She is the last of her generation and I love & respect her so much.
STILL the BEST!! I dont care if she sits or stands. LOretta can Entertain a crowd like no one else can. I recommend to anyone who hasnt seen this national treasure to go any time she is in your area. Those rag magazines can kiss LORETTA's COUNTRY ASS!! And mine too!! LOL
I absolutely agree, saw her couple weeks ago in Webster MA, I was right up front and totally mezmerized by her. I am 44 years old, I was actually one of the younger people in the sould out audience. I'm not really a big country music fan but had wanted to see her for years. Let me tell you, it was pure magic!!!! I am still in awe weeks later of her talent.
Amen! she truly a Legend and so is her sister Crystal Gayle. :)

Too bad the coal miner's daughter became a mouthpiece for the radical right. I hope, at least he wasn't a scab.

I think alot of us have coal-mining roots.
