@morpheusxnyc - Yes it is definitely positive. It is a saying we use when someone really sounds good, we say, "I almost got up out of my seat and slapped you". In fact, me and another girl just told a singer that last night at a church function. Her response was, "Aaaww, thank y'all". So YES, it is a compliment. I would never post anything disrespectful or negative about anyone, esp. her; She is one of my favorites. I'm going to see her live tomorrow. I hope I cleared that up. Lol :-)
What a wonderfully talented young lady, who inherited so very much from her father, the late Donny Hathaway. Donny was not only one of my personal favorite artists, but without question one of the greatest, most talented male vocalists of ANY generation! Lalah has the talent to proceed as far as she wishes in her music career, and I wish her the absolute best.

@DeeDee01ize - I know you mean it in some kind of positive way, but I'm not understanding the "slap" Lalah thing.
If Lalah was in front of me, I could think of 10 things I's do to her - and slap her is not on that list.
Well, not until later on that evening and in a different setting. lol..
